advocadoNot Sony, its Sanyo, panasonic bought sanyo eneloop division and technology and rebrand it as panasonic eneloop on their 4th generation eneloop, other than branding, the main difference is on the increased charge cycle on the latest generation.
Yes, local one expensive about 40% and made in china
Charger, get smart charger with individual charging bay, 1 LED per cell instead of 2 cells per 1 LED
if possible avoid quick-charge charger to preserve your battery lifespan.
not only inefficient, they will damage and shorten your battery lifespan
No, Sony also has their own recyclable rechargeable batteries like Sanyo, GP also have, Cycle Energy they call it, all use NiMH (same as laptop batteries) instead of Lithium ion.
I use Sanyo Charger but not the one from Eneloop pack, i had to buy the Lithium Ion + Charger pack to get that charger it has:
4 slot (2 AAA/AA, 2 AA Quick Charge)
individual lights
refresh button + light
Quick Charge only activates when you put the batteries on the quick charge AA slots, it will be disabled when you put more than 2 batteries on the charger.
downside is can only charge 2 AAA 1 time.
