QUOTE(Boon3 @ Sep 18 2014, 04:28 PM) Yes, there is always a chance that charts are manipulated, no doubt about it. So boon bro, can buy or hold or not? Novice hereNow think.... this is why you need to know your fundamentals.... it makes you know what run is real and what is not. meaning, which stock, you can trade longer ..... without much fear of it dropping or see the invisible hands shake the living daylights of the small fry traders. meaning the trader would know when to sit and when to take the money and run. Again back to DRB/BJauto. It was a simple case. You were fixed to DRB... but for me... straight away I knew it was perhaps not the better stock to trade. BJAuto had posted very strong numbers... numbers which are more a less visible to us... cos we can see the drastic increase in Mazda sales... its so visible... so many uncles and aunties coming out with one Mazda CX5.... no? With so many cars being sold... and long waiting list for the car... it's simple deduction that business is good... hence better profits... hence better stock.... Ok.... you talk about seeing it in the charts first. Ahhhh.... what's the best example for you.... let's see... the 2 download posting..... LOL! Here are the 2 charts again... ![]() ![]() How? Could you have seen that there was a trading opportunity in such a stock? Would you have chased this chicken? ahh.... I bet your answer is no. look at where it is now.... would fundamentals help? (ie fundamentals would have suggested that perhaps this was an opportunity!! ) ok that was then (few weeks ago) now? stock has pulled back.... can buy (or hold)?? |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Oct 3 2014, 09:30 AM) Need to have an open mind when you trade. that is very agreeable. but why 0.85 like you mentioned?Need to be one with no emotions. This is dead serious matter. Not for fun. Not for kicks. Put some logic into your thinking. Why is the stock near the support? Most likely answer? Something happened and the stock FELL... and it's now closed to the support.... Yes, sometimes the selling is caused by silly market action. Market players panic.... and they gift money to you by selling it cheap. YES it does happen. But then... the danger/the risk.... in trading... EVERYTHING IS ABOUT MANAGING THE RISKS! is that the stock FELL because of real weakness.... Yes, selling might be silly...... but if enough selling is done by more and more players..... that selling could cause the stock to fall beyond the immediate support to the next support level (ask yourself why in a chart software, they have support 1, support 2, support 3... etc etc etc) and when this happen.... are you able to manage this fall? and what if the next support level is much lower? are you willing to simply sit it out? could you handle these potential 'paper' losses? (Paper losses are real!, you already lost.... ) and of course... what if the selling is done by the big players... who know more inside stuff than we do? are we going to simply buy while they dump? Food for thought...... just opinions......and yeah.... you can always not agree with me. |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Oct 8 2014, 10:16 AM) I tend to agree with you..... i should state, i am coming from trader's point of view, i am no investorI do feel that perhaps it is better to allow the market digest this consolidation first.... there are far too many new players in the shark market... thinking they are godsend... and it's in their privilege to treat the market like an atm cash machine.... they lack no respect for the beast in the market...... |
