chart looks week. sweat.gif
+ results also week. sweat.gif

for me, if I am really interested...
in such a case...
I would wait and see first....
therefor... I would not use a pre-determined price to start hunting....
yeah... this is where I am different....

You have a pimple on your forehead?

smile.gif

..... but ALL stocks are speculative itself and more so, I have always said outright many times before that I am but a trader.

tongue.gif

Your question was did I know that this was going to happen.

Well.... smile.gif
Did you check out its balance sheet and compare it to the traded price of around 16 sen?
Yes, profit performance has been poor but by all means, this wasn't the worst stock, right?
And perhaps ....
when you factor in the market then...
there was already some hype (of course if you ask me I think it's way overblown) regarding which listed company might 'benefit' from the upcoming GST thingee.
Wasn't much to speculate then.... right?
Unless if one want to continue betting on the property market......
With the initial spike in volume....
the signs was there that there could be potential play in the sector.....
Yes, read the tea leaves......

But of course, we are all different... biggrin.gif

And as usual, do feel free to disagree. biggrin.gif

btw, i am very keen on YSPSAH. last time you said that chart and financial looks weak? today directors are buying and busy acquitting when the shares are low. perhaps waiting for share buy backs from company will be a better indication?
*
YSPSAH... hehe... again? smile.gif
This was what I saw the other day when I wrote the chart looks weak.

user posted image

That MASSIVE selldown on 2 Sep on the back of a very HIGH volume was a worry.

Such action calls one to zoom out....

user posted image

As you can see, clearly that sell down has put a huge concern over the sustainability of the current uptrend.

Layman's worry is easily translated as 'Is the long term uptrend over? ie is it game over?'

This is a weak chart.

Sorry I do not know any other way to describe it.

Would I use a predetermined entry price (1.40 as suggested by you) to determine an entry?

No I won't.

I am in the market long enough to know that such a strategy is rather risky and an almost impossible situation to manage my risk trading it this way.

That's my opinion. ( LOL! I thought it would be nice if I don't day day post long long message to describe the obvious. tongue.gif

Next... what's the logical thing to do?

I do not know about you but I would be asking WHY.

What has happened that caused that long black candle?

And the clear answer is ..... profit result wasn't good at all.... ie weak.

And this is what I saw THE OTHER DAY..... smile.gif

user posted image

See the decline in profits?

Most important also, profits have dropped to a measly 1+ million....

It's a shocker for me to see it. (I do remember that last time we talked before on YSP... tongue.gif)

Ok profits results was weak.

Then I ran a quick check on 'my sector leaders' (ie my own opinion on which are the better stocks in the sector)

I look at Pharma - profits were up some 36%.
I look at Ahealth - profits were up some 6%.

So clearly YSP were underperforming.................. sweat.gif

Also from that screen shot, we can see the boys from TH were disposing their shares...... sweat.gif

What would be my conclusion? smile.gif

So yesterday, you saw the Dato Dr Lee announcing he had increased his stake.
475,*** additional shares were bought at 1.50 on 3/9 (not yesterday hor)
Not cheap.... at least 700k..... too rich for me.... LOL..... tongue.gif

So the Dato thinks his shares is valuable at 1.50...
and he has put money where his mouth is.

smile.gif

Would I follow?

Sorry..... I won't...... not now..... but this is me, my style.... which of course could be wrong.
Cos at this moment, I just not convinced by its fundamentals and also on its valuations....
maybe Dr.Lee sees value....
but what if he was just buying cos he does not want his shares to fall lower?
I don't know...
For me, I think I would need more reasons to buy and at this moment..... there isn't enough......

Other day, only 141. brows.gif

Reading the pdf is pretty much interesting....
sometimes we are plastered with fei kei numbers...
however, there are few times we are left scratching our heads until we lose some of our many million hairs.... laugh.gif
wondering why the forecasted numbers are much lower than the current numbers.

reminds me of inari last september... laugh.gif

Yeah... Tekseng ..... this ah seng rocketing like crazy....
amazingly it isn't even anyway close as good as the other better furniture related stocks.

thanks for feedback. the reason profit was lower is due to forex loss. revenue wise i can still see the volume are sustaining could be a temporary loss
fundamental wise, i can only see light in homer and hevea. homer got strong profit margin and fundamentally strongest in terms of their cash management. hevea on the other hand is riskier but their EPS is damn good and improving
the numbers in chart do support tekseng. but i wouldn't trade shares which i'm not familiar with
*
Let me honest here, I've yet to look c look c the balance sheet and notes, hence it's interesting to note what your point on the forex losses. smile.gif

Ah... the furniture stocks. laugh.gif

Well... it's rather clear, at least for me....
the past couple of months....
Homer has underperfomed....

Other stocks have advanced a fair bit compared to Homer....

which is simple...

either Homer is outright lousy or jinxed .... LOL ....
somebody needs to sell else Homer won't naik..... tongue.gif

LOL! jk la (as usual)

or perhaps it could be viewed as a rare opportunity.....
fundamentally and most important (from a cash flow perspective) Homer is as good (if not better) than most listed stocks....
Despite that Homer is now paying a consistent dividend each quarter, the cash had increased steadily....
From fy2011, cash pile increased from 11.7m > 24.4m > 34.7m > 47.8m (as reported in its last profit report)
Yup... Ohhhh M Geeee!!!
It's a freaking cash machine! laugh.gif
Tell me another listed company which is better than this now?
Homer only has a share base of 200 million shares.
What's the cash per share amount? laugh.gif
And despite the current good profit growth, the share has gone into a coma....
LOL!!!

Like I am saying a couple of times now....
Is this value or is this a death trap?

laugh.gif

Yeah.... I do have certain shares which die die also I won't trade...

got, there is a reason why homer is weak, sentiments of next quarter result will miss target. why? forex exchange LOL. my strong guess - revenue increase but net profit jatuh if compared to last year
*
If I am not mistaken...
Others like Hevea and Latitude also same boat what....
They too, like Homer, depend a lot on export.

It's not too bad of a company but perhaps a bit smallish.
I have seen its properties before and it's pretty decent.
Growth is good also.
Problem is it's smallish and it's a property stock.

Market seems to prefer its subsidiaries. tongue.gif
And over its history the stock has been plagued with unexpected accounting losses, which makes hard core investors avoiding the stock.

Yeah, it's a penny stock and the general assumption is that it should be easy to fry.
This is why sime stocks, one need to understand the structure of the stock itself.
It's a must. tongue.gif
Cannot simply buy cos it's a penny stock.
Bjcorp is a monstrous penny stock.
Over 4.3 billuion shares.
How many can you buy?
Can you imagine how many chefs would be required and not forgetting the size of the wok to fry this monster?
