I'm surprised to find out that G2 thread at xda is very active, not to mention a lot of custom ROM. Was thinking to buy GPro2, but now undecided. I'm currently using N2

Just bought G2 around 1.30PM, then reached office around 2.15PM. Accidentally dropped my phone on tarmac and shattered the screen.

Called the phone shop, asking for RM700 for replacement. Anyone got solution?

yes, think so, must be my unlucky day. I made my own research, surprisingly this is a common problem with g2, maybe due to it's bezel-less design.

Ahh bro sorry for your loss.
If we are using case, would it prevent from similar case happen? I mean, the shattered screen part when phone drop to hard surface.

Not guaranteed, but it'll greatly reduced the risk. I have ordered spigen case & tempered glass. Will replace the screen today

Hi guys, I need help. I bought a second hand g2 with warranty by 1gadget. The phone is rooted by the previous owner but it seems that my auto screen rotation isn't working and the auto brightness isn't working either. I now suspect maybe is the Rom problem. Could someone help me out please on what whether the Rom in my g2 is correct or the wrong one,
. Thanks

Details:

Android Version 4.4.2
baseband version M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190084
Kernel version: 3.4.0
Build number: KOT49I.D80220d
Software version : D80220d-EUR-xx

IMO, software version will not affect hardware functionality, except for locale and APN customisation. Mine was -SEA-xx

Try flash stock rom using this method

download your rom from here

Please note the above pictures show the product on a white phone, it will look different on the black phone, as the frosted inside will make the case look grey. We recommend this color for the white version of the phone only.

Disclaimer: Translucent TPU will yellow over time when exposed to UV light. It may also pick up dye from clothing, such as blue from jeans pockets. Diztronic does not replace cases due to discoloring.

My G2 is black, so i bought matte black.

what about ois?  plus lg g2 can record 4k thru custom rom as compared to mi3. with knock  knock  feature  some  more
the only thing that has been plagueing me to get g2 that is it safe to buy AP phone as i never buy one before. for sure the production quality not as good as original  one

im planning to use it at least 3 years

my curreny galaxy nexus has been going strong for 2 years and half without any problem.
oh ok. thanks. i think it is more attrative as seen on video review tongue.gif

I was under good impression when you mention about ois, custom rom, knock2, until i read the bolded part. You think all of us using low quality phone?

Oh, I have used mi3 (2 times) before and i sold it for G2.
