btw, you might have heard it wrongly..the one with issues after the update is the xperia series..their phones are seriously crap after the KK update from JB.

I think i know why, verizon sets..haha so probably it has something to do with those which came with the telco as their firmware is slightly different from the international versions, plus when it was released vodafone had it first and it was full of the bloatware from the respective telcos...the units you would find here would definitely be either the korean versions or the international (d802) ones..

i don't have a nexus 5 but as far as i read their threads, i read the battery life was one of the major issues..as in if you are looking at a g2, ur looking at a note 3 kinda of battery life rather den a s4....i'm not bragging, its seriously that good..

for hardware wise, i think nexus 5 and lg g2 have very close interiors. you gain a 0.2 inch screen estate as well as a 13 mp vs 8 mp camera but both has OIS. Front camera is 2.1 for the G2 and 1.3 for the N5. Processor and ram is the same. The base G2 is 32gb internal by default vs 16gb units for N5 (yes there are 32gb's but not too sure if the price is way higher) and both do not have microsd slots as well. Last but not least, you have a mammoth battery and capacity size apart, i read somewhere G2 has the same kind of batteries used in tablets which is why it can last longer than average phones with 3000mah...(this is from my personal experience from the xperia z1)
No doubt my most loved phones are the z1 and G2, i think the only thing G2 loses to it is the underwater capabilities and photography abilities. But at least the G2 doesn't overheat and prevent me from using the camera when the phone gets hot, something which i found the z1 doing very often during my 3 weeks of ownership.
