Uuuuuh guys, I posted a pretty detailed explanation on the third post of this thread. But I'll post it here anyways.

TL;DR Version.

Low - Bass. Drums. Kickdrums. EDM. Anything that packs a solid low end punch. Best versions of bass is those where it's solid and tight. A controlled thump, rather than a loose boom you hear in that of Beats headsets.
Mids - Vocals. Musical instruments of the mellow kind like guitars or pianos. Supposed to be lush and mellow. Like a buttery feeling when you listen to it.
Highs - Treble. Also musical instruments but generally more sharper ones like snares, cymbals. Lousy treble control usually ends with highly annoying Sharp hisses.

Some people prefer bass. Some likes treble, especially gamers.

The TL;DR version is helpful. Why don't you include that as well? icon_idea.gif

No need to feel so bad. Just thinking it's good for layman people ( like me ) to understand better.
