hi guys... i kinda want to change my line to celcom postpaid... the plans that i am considering are the C250 & C500... i did some calculations on my own... exactly on the exact fees that i need to pay for each month...

let say that i only use within the package (RM 50 for C250 & RM 80 for C500)... so, i have to only pay the monthly package value + 5% govt tax is it?

i hope to get response from you guys who are using the Celcom Minutes Postpaid C250 or C500...

are there any hidden cost? i heard that you have to pay some extra charges for the 1st 5 months of the service? is it true?

what is pro-rated package value cost, advanced pv, staggered 1st month advanced pv, adjusment on 1st month advance pv? sorry for the long questions... i kinda want to get info from actual users before i go to celcom salesman... icon_question.gif drool.gif

celcom has same mentality. The billing mayhem has not been sorted out yet.

Advertisement says no need pay deposit or upfront fees. From their website this is not true.

There is still a hidden RM50 connection fee, RM10 stamp duty, advanced PV, prorated PV, and BACKDATED PV.

so this is how it will work. let me take RM80 plan for example.

For your first month, you will be charged RM 10 (connection fee, staggered into 5 months ) + RM2 (stamp duty ,staggered into 5 months) + prorate + advanced RM80.

confused yet? why do we need to pay advanced RM80 for the current month? I could accept the prorate.. but why advance payment for every month?

this is not all guys, there is this BACKDATED PV ( or so called adjustment for advanced PV) staggered for 5 months. this is basically your deposit, will will be offset in case you terminate the plan.

so every month for 5 months you will pay more than RM100 ....for a RM80 plan.

Now, it takes me a while to figure out their billing bewilderment.

This UNACCEPTABLE atrocious billing system which is out there to CHEAT customers. STAY CLEAR of celcom until they sort out their billing system.

why cant they just follow DIGI/ Maxis in their billing?
maxis connection fee waived, stamp duty waived, first bill you ONLY pay the PRo-rate for the previous month. The current month will be billed to you NEXT MONTH. and they tell you that u only need to pay upfront deposit of RM100.. but what i like about maxis is they are CLEAN. you dont feel cheated.

hi soul2soul... if you care to read my previous post, maybe you explained half of the answer for me... thumbup.gif

you mean only pay that for the 1st 5 months right? after the 5th month, only RM80 + 5%tax is it = RM84... by the way, what is the amount of deposit for celcom C250 & C500 ?

you are right. after 5 months then you will only see the RM80 + RM3 (itemised billing) + 5% tax.

The deposit is not required under their advertisement BUT you will be charged the Backdated PV rate (which is basically YOUR deposit btw ) for the first 5 months.

The deposit (or PV rate whatever u wish to call it) will be based on your plans. If your monthly plan is RM80) , then the PV will be RM80 ( but charged RM16 per month for the next 5 months , 16 x 5 = 80).

If you monthly fee is RM50 , then  your deposit will be RM50 (RM10 per month x 5 months).

hope this clears some querries.

that is to say for celcom postpaid subscribers, you are not required to pay deposit, connection fee, stamp duty or advance fee  during sign up BUT it will be charged to your account for first 5 months.

thanks soul2soul... but can i trouble you a little bit more? hehe sweat.gif are my calculations correct? icon_question.gif drool.gif

CELCOM C500

Connection Fee = RM 50 (1 Month = RM10)
Stamp Duty = RM 10 (1 Month = RM 2)
Monthly Bill = RM 80 + 5% Tax + RM 3 Itemize Bill = RM 87

Expected Monthly Bill For 1st Month Of 5 Month = RM 99

CELCOM C250

Connection Fee = RM 50 (1 Month = RM10)
Stamp Duty = RM 10 (1 Month = RM 2)
Monthly Bill = RM 50 + 5% Tax + RM 3 Itemize Bill =RM 55.50

Expected Monthly Bill For 1st Month Of 5 Month = RM 67.50

ouccch!! the pro rate is only for the 1st month right?

additional RM20 (excess usage charge)? compulsory for every month after the first 5 months?

the advanced commitment fee is charged early for every month? meaning i pay for the package in advance for every month? what the hell!?

ok... let see the situation after the 5 months, how is my bill gonna look like if i choose the C500 / RM 80 plan? inclusive of all the excess usage charge, advanced commitment fee 5% tax, deposit or what ever that is in?

*edited - especially for soul2soul to answer... hehehe.. thumbup.gif

and you must be wondering what if you use more than RM80 for december and how would your Jan 07 bill be ?

If you use up around RM 100 (for example) on december 06, your Jan 07 bill will have an additional RM20 (excess usage charge) on top of the normal monthly fees.

You see... after all this.. you get headache.. WHY SO COMPLICATED ???
number8, have u considered other telco besides Celcom? they got a better and simpler plan.
*
hehehe... i am currentlu considering between all 3 telcos... but i narrowed it down to celcom and maxis... digi seems ok, but got access fees and their plans (premier and optimum) don't quite seem to fit me... most of them are on celcom and maxis... so, at RM0.20 @ RM 0.30 for calls to other telcos is quite expensive... hehehe... sorry to all of digi users reading this... sweat.gif

*edited - but after some calculations, i think digi premium plan is some how same with another telco plan.... hmmm... blink.gif maybe i will consider also coverage, bill statement and etc...
