Celcom user since 1997.

Currently on 250 minutes plan. Never managed to touch 200 minutes let alone finish the 250 minutes allocated. Average about 100 - 120 sms a month and pay 8 cents/sms for any sms over the free 20 given. My company pays the RM50 plan fee and taxes. I pay for all the rest which is usually the sms and any gprs usage (very rarely). Use the extra savings to purchase a hotlink number (just for fun) and I also don't use the fixed line anymore. Maximising usage of my celcom postpaid to try and finish the minutes. Would've got rid of the fixed line if it wasn't needed for streamyx.

Only time I didn't get coverage with Celcom was near one of the beaches in Langkawi.

1111 is also free so I usually just put the call on speakerphone and just do something else while waiting for the customer service to attend to my call.

Very happy with the minutes plan and hope the opposition keeps Celcom on its toes so that we, the customers, benefit in the long run.

Celcom see like very nice 10sen/min,but i don't know why expensive also,i think me have so many friend using digi and maxis,so the calling so expensive loh.

If you mostly make calls with minimal GPRS/MMS etc. and your monthly prepaid costs are above RM80, have many friends/relatives on Digi/Maxis then Celcom Minutes is the one for you. Same call charges rate to any of the mobile operators so it doesn't matter if the majority of friends or relatives are on Maxis or Digi, Central or Northern region, Sabah or Sarawak. I just love it.

Yup. done that. they just said go to the service centre to do it.
Hmm ok. Thanks. I was thinkin perhaps the Minutes plan maybe have some contract and stuff and maybe have to pay to downgrade or something.

IIANM 1st & 2nd time change FoC. The 3rd time, you have to pay a small amount.

Don't give much hope with prepaid service.. There will be alway "Udang disebalik mee"
How much is that small amount actually?
*
Can't remember. Just give customer service a call at 1111. Its free.

For those who are using the Minutes plan, how do you check on how many minutes u have used for that particular month? you have to call them up all the time to check?
Is there a way to sms to check our Minutes status?
*
I think you have to call CS at 1111 to get the info. I just leave the call on speakerphone until I get the person. Its free so no problem unlike some other network operator who charge for the service.

A friend of mine called 1111 and they confirmed that each billing cycle fixed on 13th.
*
Mine is fixed on the 18th of every month & Central region.

Weird. The customer-service assistant told me it's different for everyone. laugh.gif

But anyway, i double-checked with an ex-Celcom employee. He said it's fixed billing date for everyone within a certain location/state.

However, is it confirmed that the Minutes reset back to zero on the 13th of every month? I just wan to be sure. sweat.gif sweat.gif biggrin.gif

Don't think so coz mine is fixed on the 18th of every month while my wife's is fixed on the 16th of every month. Both Central region.

Oh ok. Thanks crynobone. Maybe will call up 1111 to disturb them later. laugh.gif  but i think goin there to ask is better. sweat.gif

Anyway, anyone use the Voicemail function regularly for their Celcom postpaid line?
Just wanna ask whether are calls to Voicemail included into the default Minutes (like 250min/450min/etc)? Or are they charged in additional to that? sweat.gif

Because if states here 'Standard Call Charges' apply: http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/productservic.../voicemail.html

But we know that our call-charges for Minutes plan is around RM0.15 (450mins plan) and RM0.20 (250mins plan) for the whole day while it is stated for Voicemail, there is peak and non-peak charges. sweat.gif

Can someone using Voicemail clarify this? Thanks. biggrin.gif

I've used the voicemail service a few times but it didn't come out in my bill. Will check again to confirm.

Just to warn XPAX users here

Got an sms from this joker @ 0148121923 saying that I've been given RM80 free airtime bonus because of Merdeka bla bla bla and to just type 8 and send to 10148121923.

I know its one of the scams and moreover I'm a postpaid user. Hope nobody falls for this kind of scam.

Anyone know where the best place to report this joker? Not sure if 1111 will take my report seriously since the fraud is a small amount and its most probably not a registered number as well.
