digi is RM99 per month , now with option to opt out voice package, that is to say you can soley get digi EDGE for 99 , without subsribing to their call packages.
Celcom is Rm99 ONLY IF you subscribe to their minutes/family/normal talk plan. if you choose for DATA only, you need to pay RM120. Maxis 3G connect (data only) is also RM120. |

yes it's opened for individual registration. I went to speak with the presiding officer of celcom at Miri Celcom cetnre. however, you need to provide 3 month salary slips to register and there is a 2 year contract.
however, to enjoy the power office (+ RM10 for unlimited calls to 8 013/019 numbers) you NEED to register under company. may I suggest that you get power 38, then your wife registers under supplementary RM20 from you. calls between you and your wife will be FOC. it sounds a bit too good to be true but that is what i understand from the officer. oh yea, power 38 is entitled to a free BASIC phone ( no gprs, only sms and talk function). hope this helps. i also wonder why they open to individuals now. my guess is the response from the public to their minutes plan are very listless and they have no choice but to offer this better plan to the individuals. powertool 38 is a better plan than minutes. that's the thing i dont like about celcom, once u have problem with their service, it is really a pain to get through their system of customer service to get the right things done. one person will pass the to the other. very similar to streamyx.
your problem actually can be settled outright. They just lazy to walk an extra mile for you. What that 1111 guy should have done is to requeest deactivation for your old simcard (why would they need to keep the old simcard in order to deactivate it??? but he is just plain lazy, or maybe there is no incentive for him to work harder, unless there is a monitoring customer care monitoring system like digi/maxis, they will never improve This post has been edited by soul2soul: Jun 26 2006, 09:18 PM |

why u want to get 2 numbers at the first place?
I am afraid you have to stick with their 1 year contract. |

that's why i always advice people to be cautious with celcom. They are full of tricks. as far as i remember Maxis and Digi do not have minimal subscription period. only celcom does.

QUOTE(number8 @ Nov 23 2006, 05:02 PM) hi soul2soul... if you care to read my previous post, maybe you explained half of the answer for me... you are right. after 5 months then you will only see the RM80 + RM3 (itemised billing) + 5% tax.you mean only pay that for the 1st 5 months right? after the 5th month, only RM80 + 5%tax is it = RM84... by the way, what is the amount of deposit for celcom C250 & C500 ? The deposit is not required under their advertisement BUT you will be charged the Backdated PV rate (which is basically YOUR deposit btw ) for the first 5 months. The deposit (or PV rate whatever u wish to call it) will be based on your plans. If your monthly plan is RM80) , then the PV will be RM80 ( but charged RM16 per month for the next 5 months , 16 x 5 = 80). If you monthly fee is RM50 , then your deposit will be RM50 (RM10 per month x 5 months). hope this clears some querries. that is to say for celcom postpaid subscribers, you are not required to pay deposit, connection fee, stamp duty or advance fee during sign up BUT it will be charged to your account for first 5 months. QUOTE(number8 @ Nov 24 2006, 11:40 PM) thanks soul2soul... but can i trouble you a little bit more? hehe not quite. Let me give u an example. say you subscribe Celcom C500 at 24/11/06, and their billing date is 1/12/06.CELCOM C500 Connection Fee = RM 50 (1 Month = RM10) Stamp Duty = RM 10 (1 Month = RM 2) Monthly Bill = RM 80 + 5% Tax + RM 3 Itemize Bill = RM 87 Expected Monthly Bill For 1st Month Of 5 Month = RM 99 CELCOM C250 Connection Fee = RM 50 (1 Month = RM10) Stamp Duty = RM 10 (1 Month = RM 2) Monthly Bill = RM 50 + 5% Tax + RM 3 Itemize Bill =RM 55.50 Expected Monthly Bill For 1st Month Of 5 Month = RM 67.50 your bill dated 1/12/06 will include the following: 1. prorate for subscription 24/11- 30/11/06 ( 8/30 x RM80) 2. advanced commitment fee for DECEMBER 2006 ( I mentioned already, celcom charges you AHEAD) of RM80. 3. Staggered connection fee RM10 , stamp duty RM2 4. Advanced PV rate of RM16 for your deposit (staggered) so your first month bill for C500 will be around RM80 (december commitment fee) + RM3 (itemised billing) + RM21 (pro-rate for november) + RM2 stamp duty + RM10 connection fee + RM16 (advanced PV rate/deposit) + 5% tax = RM138+ How i know? because my brother got a heart attack when he looked at his first month bill after subscribing to celcom. He went to Celcom centre.. and was told that the charges were ALL IN THE CONTRACT. |

and you must be wondering what if you use more than RM80 for december and how would your Jan 07 bill be ?
If you use up around RM 100 (for example) on december 06, your Jan 07 bill will have an additional RM20 (excess usage charge) on top of the normal monthly fees. You see... after all this.. you get headache.. WHY SO COMPLICATED ??? number8, have u considered other telco besides Celcom? they got a better and simpler plan. QUOTE(tplcaik @ Jan 8 2007, 08:40 AM) I am a celcom postpaid user. These two months I didnt receive bill from celcom again. They got charged me the itemise bill(RM3 x 2 cos I have 2 lines) but never post the bill for me. Some else want to barring my service if still dont want to pay the bill. I did send the complaint letter to careline but no respond at all. What should I do? billling issues is a well know problem with celcom. CELCOM had a bad service on me. I changed from Mxxxx last 4months cos heard the salesman said Celcom have a good package with power38 and bla bla bla.. So I did open 2 new power38 lines. Now very disappointed and screw by 2 years contract. *CELCOM cheated my money* THey may have come up with numerous offers, at the end of the day, you will still need to deal with their billing errors. celcom is fine if you dont have any unfortunate billing errors with them, but IF you do have, you will have a VERY HARD time to get clarification, rebates, answers. most of your querries will be send to an electronic vaccum. The 1111 helpline staffs are not given lot of responsibilities by their powers-that-be in celcom, therefore they cannot authorise rebates/rectification/corrections on the spot over the phone which is possible with MAxIS 123 or digi helpline. you will be likely be referred to 'other' departments in Celcom to get 'approval' for rebates, etc - the legacy of government redtape mentality. this will explain the very LONG wait to get answers, if you are lucky. IF you give up trying, celcom will assume your problem is solved.. sounds familar dont they? (streamyx...) btw: why did you sign up for celcom anyway? get maxis or digi. all my friends on celcom are waiting for their contract to expire before switching to maxis/digi This post has been edited by soul2soul: Jan 8 2007, 06:58 PM |

celcom looks quite competitive nowadays. Has the billing issues being resolved?
Maxis is the most expensive in the market already. |

QUOTE(mutt @ Feb 28 2008, 01:15 PM) can save more if monthly usage around rm150. then the rate will be better or equal to digi 1 plan. i hope that CEP can be the principal for 1+3 instead of using minutes plan. You can subscribe to 1 + 3 under CEP plan. My father just changed from minutes (main line) to CEP with 1 supplementary line. Celcom is getting quite competitive nowadays. Added on February 28, 2008, 2:44 pm QUOTE(ekiddie @ Feb 28 2008, 11:48 AM) of all those postpaid plans now... maxis is de most expensive ones around... it used to be celcom and now celcom is really catching up... good job! de CEP plan is very attractive indeed... tho might still be slightly more than digi (i wud say and i'm oso a digi users too...) but their reception are better in most area... pay for wat u get lor... I agree with you. Maxis charges RM10 for its so called Value plus such as Extra Five. I cannot see the logic why maxis postpaid customers should be charged for something they give FOC to their prepaid customers.i'm getting taking up de CEP plan... I cannot help but get irritated that Maxis gives so many goodies to Hotlink customers but we postpaid customers are being milked every cents.... QUOTE(mutt @ Feb 28 2008, 03:02 PM) is that for real?? cos i read the TnC that the principal must be minutes subscriber but celcom exec can be supp line. ..... dude, I went with him and changed the plan from Minutes 450 to CEP. He has an existing supp line under the 1 + 3 plan. The supplementary is not affected by the conversion.postpaid or prepaid.. MAXIS SUCKS BIG TIME! that's why maxis owner bought all the shares. so he can do whatever he wanted.. Yes, maxis kind of sucked nowadays. It is an insult they charge RM10 to postpaid customers for their active 5, when they offer it FOC for HOtlink. Even Digi has more sense than that! THey offer their Friends and Family FOC for both prepaid and postpaid. This post has been edited by soul2soul: Feb 28 2008, 03:06 PM |
