i got several questions...
1. you all OC using the easytune or from BIOS? i can't seemed to OC from BIOS cos when i set the CPU host clock more than 200, it'll jump back to default setting
2. my CPU fan is running at 900 to 1000rpm only? is this normal?

i'm seriously in deep trouble now. at first, wanted to OC but with no success...everytime i enable the cpu host control clock, it'll always go back to default setting and worst of all, enabling the cpu host control clock with default 266 also will cause the pc to restart at boot time. now, even my windows cannot start because some files are corrupted. i really don't know wat to do further...*depressed* i'm having problems exactly like this thread here. anyone with any ideas? i guess you all might have known, gigabyte has officially released F3 BIOS for ds4 and F4 for ds3. you may get it from gigabyte's official webpage.

the board you mentioned is very rare and i doubt you can find it in LYP. if you need to get it, most probably you need to import it from overseas or get a friend in the US to buy it and send it to you.

my current rig running at 380x7 at 1.28v...stable at 24/7. thinking of going slightly higher using that voltage. temp using coretemp 48 idle 60 load. all voltage normal except ram vcore +0.2v

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Oct 2 2006, 01:02 PM) hey after flashing the bios the fan seem louder abit.... issit the bios set the fan setting? are you referring to the CPU fan? if you are, then it should something to do with the automatic fan controller (can't remember what's the name). the fan will rotate accoding to the temp of the cpu unless you set it to rotate at max rpm. do check that...

QUOTE(ddww @ Oct 2 2006, 01:03 PM) wow. how did u do tat? wat board u using? tat is really a WOW. i raise my vdimm by +0.1v @ 4-4-4-12(1:1). terpaksa do so because there isn't any +0vdimm in bios and tat normal mode will perform like auto mode and would pandai pandai go increase my vdimm to 2.1v. i didn't do anything...i thought of lowering the cpu voltage might help in the OC. can't stand the heat shown in coretemp although my 9500 doesnt even feel warm. i'm using ds4. about the vdimm or the timing, i can't seemed to get it right. everytime i try to adjust the timing lower, comp will be unstable. might be my ram's limit...

i think the best place to start is your BIOS. start adjusting your fsb first without adding any voltage to the proc. make sure your proc is set to default voltage which is 1.32v. you should be able to reach 400FSB quite easily. post what you get at that point and sifus here might be able to help if there's any problem.
