That requires a BIOS fix which was announced at XS Forums under Intel section. It's a case of cold boots if I'm not mistaken http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread...hlight=gigabyteand DS3 FAQ's http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread...hlight=gigabyteThis post has been edited by almostthere: Aug 16 2006, 04:16 PM

QUOTE(ianho @ Aug 16 2006, 10:10 PM) Damn it. Still cant reboot at 2.8ghz! I gonna call this mobo Gaygabyte now. Next thing to try now is BIOS F3B. I've tried F2, F3, F3D. All oso tadaboleh guna. Absolutely useless. Haizzzzzzzzz.............. damn frust. try reset BIOS to stock and then fresh flash and load it back to default. Remember, the gigabyte BIOS has a abkup BIOS setting which is probably why it's gone siao edi.

QUOTE(ianho @ Aug 17 2006, 01:42 AM) Probably the F3D you got was corrupted since you changed the settings a few times. The old DFi nForce 2 boards had dead BIO's situations beacuse of constantly fiddling with the settings. Don't worry about dead BIOS but it's just a reminder that sometimes it's due to corrupted BIO's checksums

For DS3 users, get the latest F5e BIOS. Seems they've done an Asus whereby they've beaten the NB strap on it. Recommended to skip 360-399Mhz and hit for FSB 400 http://xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=114070http://www.bleedinedge.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23803

Depends on your luck in terms of what chips you're using. But the thing is that generally DDR2's are safe to say able to hit FSB 400Mhz 1:1. We're talking 1:1 rates here as bandwidth is more of an issue rather then clock rates. But do note that the poster in XS was using cheap ass RAM's not even his OCZ's yet
