yeah.. kinda high. 472x7=3GHz?? typo is it? wah.. stock vcore.. tats really cool..
*
I think that is not default Vcore if you look at his previous 1M screenshot, EasyTuner says 1.38v unless remysix manually set it to 1.325v

QUOTE(remysix @ Sep 1 2006, 10:47 AM)
that's why i'm quite confuse with the 'default vcore' terms...
in BIOS it say Normal CPU Voltage = 1.30...so, for the CPU Voltage, i didnt put any additional voltage...so, i'd consider it default vcore since no overvoltage is set...
in easytune, it showed 1.41v and in cpu-z showed 1.36~1.37v...
so, how to know u r running at default vcore?
and then there is the V-Droop factor doh.gif
doing overvoltage even 0.1v in BIOS, cpuz will report <1.3v??? shocking.gif
sorry...intel noob's here wink.gif

and yes, for 485x7...it was not default...put some overvoltage, didnt remember how much doh.gif
*
When you set 'Normal' in bios, it will choose automatically that is why you get 1.41v in EasyTuner. You have to manually set it biggrin.gif

Load optimized, save. Enter bios again enable fan status, save (you will see global and fan reset). Enter bios again press Ctrl + F1, but strangely i only got it to work one time. Me running F4 bios though smile.gif

Simple. Just go into the bios, see the thing called FSB then simply set it straight at 400MHz. Tada! You got 2.80GHz straight without any sweat smile.gif

but the reason i revert to e6400 is because i cant find a noticeable performance when using e6600 in real life.. the clear thing is e6600 is hotter than e6400. biggrin.gif
*
Irenic, i'm not sure how but i've experienced that the E6600 clocked at 3.24GHz (360x9) is actually much cooler than E6300 at 3.15GHz (450x7) unsure.gif

QUOTE(ksl279 @ Sep 21 2006, 11:39 PM)
ok guys, rely nid some advice here...

i can get stable 3.4Ghz @1.675Mhz(bios) prime stable for 16hrs.
but i fail CPU test in 3dmark03 and 3dmark05, causing sys reboot. Even i increase vcore to 1.7Mhz (Max in Bios) but still can't Pass the CPU test in 3dmark.  icon_question.gif

And i wondering i can Pass 3dmark06 3.4Ghz@1.675Mhz without error...y huh ?

i found something fishy here, i feel my vcore was somehow stopped @1.675mhz eventhought bios were set to 1.7Mhz.... blush.gif .

which is accurate for vcore in 1.7Mhz ?
*
I don't think your processor need that vcore to pass Prime at that GHz. Have you try lowering down to 1.4v - 1.475v somewhere around? 3DMark05 is stressing the CPU so any instability will cause it to reboot or jump out to the desktop.... Anyway what mobo are you running?
