1.6V and touch only 3.3 is a bit low, seriously.
E6300 & 6400 are most overclockable because they start from low speed from the beginning, so it's not surprising. Moreover, the chip has less L2, so that helps as well. QUOTE(gengstapo @ Sep 21 2006, 08:17 AM) |

Intel being the radiator now?? Hmmm... the chips I have here seems to be cold enough that I can now overclock using crappy stock Intel heatsinks. And dun forget, the C2D stock heatsinks are smaller and default fan speeds are slower than those of Prescotts.

Let me get a better heatsink, and I'll try to hit the magical 4.
Anyway, not fair for you to compare your almost 4ghz C2D with the power consumption of your Winnie 2.4. Unless you're telling me both running at 2.4. As for EIST, it works pretty well for me, almost all my screenshots at 3.8ghz shows 1.8-1.9ghz only. lols. And yes, it does go back to up to 100% once load or superpi comes into running. QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Sep 28 2006, 09:26 AM) Let's get back to talking overclocking ler... Power consumption can go this thread .. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=304293&st=160 So... Anybody else wanna join 4Ghz club? |

I think your RAMs, as highlighted by darksythe, can do DDR2 880 @ 3-3-3-x timings.
Why so conservative? Try that without raising any more cpu speeds, you should whack my timing and perhaps touch kc's time. QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Sep 29 2006, 11:03 PM) Bios kong di..hahhaha...nevermind. Got replacement board di. I'm backkkkk... ps: To P5B-Deluxe user... follow the dang manual. Use that CPR thing.. unplug power..restart again. Don't asyik go clear CMOS using jumper. It bloody screws the bios. ps2: Apasal I improved my timing but superpi still like crap? I'm not using a clean OS lar. the first run was with 5-5-5-12 |
