QUOTE(gengstapo @ Aug 6 2006, 09:42 AM) Hoh? im using cheapop CVS onli & i put all the memory timin' at AUTO coz whenever i try put manually the CAS at 4, it wont boot. if i put CAS as 5, will detect as 3. dang cheap Mobo Probably you might try 4.0-5-5-X 'cause your timing is too loose at that speed btw, u using wat RAMs?? I'm using Kingston ValueRAM single 512MB Micron D9DCN |

Irenic, have you tried everything 'Normal' except for Vdimm? I think that works like a charm (at least for me, DS3) not quite sure about DS4 and DQ6

I've tried booting at 450MHz without problem, but the memory seems to be hitting the wall, +0.6v gave more errors, relax timings won't help either
No choice but i have to back down to 436MHz errorless. Single channel can't bring it to 18 seconds.... Vdimm +0.5v, Gmch +0.2v, others Normal Irenic, i will try your options when the RAMs is ready... This post has been edited by tAmp0i: Aug 8 2006, 01:28 AM |

QUOTE(toda6866 @ Aug 9 2006, 04:06 PM) very noob question from a totally outdated noob: Erm, for your question yes it is. Currently the fastest processor in the planetthe conclusion? is this the fastest proc out there so far? but judging a book by its cover (the stock clockspeed seems pretty low) wat makes it a hot topic? |

QUOTE(lookie @ Aug 11 2006, 08:36 AM) hallo, a question about ram and overclocking please. When your FSB is running at 400MHz, that means your memory should be at 2.0 (1:1) ratio. You try set 2.50 (4:5) though if your memory is able to run at DDR1000if i oc a 6300 say to 400mhz, does it mean ram rated at ddr2 533 or 667 be sufficient? or like i read somewhere, ram speed need to be double ie ddr2 800? |

QUOTE(evilnickwong @ Aug 15 2006, 11:56 AM) The ppl on XS were referring to the guide posted by Shamino at VR. It's not a 3 pin thing, rather its just 2 solder points on the board that need to be shorted together using conductive solder/ink/pencil. Now just looking for a conductive pen. I think the mod that must be done is Vdimm and Gmch... |
