mine 430x7 stable at stock vcore. 3GHz need 1.5v? tried to lowered it down before? 1.5v for 3GHz is kinda high...

yup 1.5 is too hi...unless u r trying to join the 3.5G for e63 club 
my e63 now running at 458x7=3.2g wif 1.331v...last time needed 1.35v...try to burn ur proc summore

BT VX is one of the best HSF available, maybe even better than my ninja plus 

acually not that long la...just 12hrs burning...and running orthos for >12hrs can considered burning also la...and if burning refers to 'bakar' with high temp, my proc reach 90c when using the stock cooling, reading from ET5...cant imagine how does the TAT reading looks like

By the way, do U cool down yr NB? I noticed after I replace the thermal paste with AS5, it become hotter. The original thermal paste on DS3 is sux to max. Dried out completely as shown on picture below:

yupe, but i never saw a hynix C4 with 667MHz. i'd only seen 533 Hynix C4 out there and its 512MB mostly. its soooo hard to find a 1GB Hynix C4 stick. so our fren here is sooo lucky. so only 2 ppl i know using 2x1GB KVR Hynix C4.

the highest cl3 i can go is roughly about 920++MHz. lazy to tried out the max since it cant even boot up at 950MHz @ 2.4v. wat is the highest u can go with cl3 timing?

3.2ghz cukup lor, it was my initial target anyway as i plan to use this PC for the long-term. Anything extra is a bonus. Plus I'm still on stock Intel cooler.

Using a Gigabyte DS3.

When I was at LYP the 3 shops I checked out (cycom,czone,startec) all had KVR533 1GB's Hynix C4's. The 512MB sticks were of a diff chip that I didn't know.

I do have a prob though - In the BIOS under PC Health Status I set the "Fan Speed Control Method" to DISABLE as I want my CPU fan to run at full speed.

However, it doesn't. The RPM still fluctuates depending on the ambient temps - is this a bug with the DS3 F7 BIOS ? Does anyone know how I can get the CPU FAN to run at full speed?

anyone knows how to remove north bridge and south bridge heatsink on the DS3 or S3,....same difference,...i already popped out the plastic screws,...but its still stuck on tighter than a 16 year old gals...a@@H@@e.....scared to RIP it up,....

Vdroop is a big problem in overclock. The Vdroop is not just drop constantly..it kind of fluctuate. That mean it will cost instability...
There are some Vmod that prevent Vdroop on DS3 at VR-zone forum...But some said it will cost more harm than benefit...Read carefully if U want to do it...
