Hi. I have a question, what would a bump in RAM do to a laptop? Is it worth upgrading to 8GB memory ( MacBook Air ) before purchasing? Would it be faster?

And what is the difference between RAM memory, processor speed and 128GB ( which is advertised on MacBook Air )?

I'm clueless when it comes to these things.
*
RAM = how many applications u able to run at the same time without lagging
CPU = the speed of your mac
128GB = storage

Guys, I'm just asking. I'm getting a Ducky Zero DK2108 mechanical keyboard by next week. It is not obviously not a Mac keyboard, but will it still be compatible with MBA? Maybe at least just for typing?

Hi All Sifu,

I may need you all advise me do i need to go for MBA I5 or I7 , my main thing is doing some office work and install Windows to do run some CCTV software analysis only.

I'm planning is I7 , 8GB , 512SSD....

not sure i7 or i5 got big different or not.

Last time my old company given a MBA i5, 2GB, 128Gb.....storage always full ......but that time havent try to run VM so not sure about the performance if is install windows 8 on VMfusion.....
*
IMO, i7 is useful for gaming, video/photo editing.

in ur scenerio, i5 can works just fine, all u need is RAM smile.gif

Yeah, Broadwell is not yet ready. Besides, they already updated MBA with slightly faster CPU clock speed this year.

yup, i did notice last time.
i tot they revamped and price drop on MBA is to clear old stock for preparing the new one on coming conference (october), turn out i was wrong
