My MBA internal fan never spins mainly because I didn't run heavy application.
Not even once.

QUOTE(xproc @ May 27 2014, 07:36 PM) lol... when u on your mac... it will spin at 1200rpm... no matter what you did Really? It's really super quiet then. I thought that with Haswell ULV proc the fan would only spin when reaching certain temperature. I couldn't hear the fan at all.obviously it is too silent until you didnt hear it.... |

QUOTE(SolId SnaKe @ Feb 1 2015, 05:24 PM) MBA 11" Mid 2013 owner here. Very snappy notebook. 128gb may not be sufficient if you're planning to dual boot but by itself you should be fine. No SD card slot for 11" model though.I didn't opt for dual boot so my 256gb still have plenty of space even with some Steam games installed (Thank you Lord Gaben for allowing us to install cheap Mac compatible games without having to pay twice). QUOTE(prasys @ Feb 2 2015, 02:07 PM) Using Early 14 model and i have to say its easy to carry around There're rumour flying around that Apple is gonna make USB-C port a uni-port. Doesn't sound great but I'll take it as a grain of salt.you may wait for retina mba , but i recommend to grab one , i heard the new one is going to be using USB-C and all. Not sure which direction apple is heading I grabbed it because of usb ports , who knows apple might ask us to get an adapter Too many questions & too little clues. I'll wait & see how it goes. |

I'm surprised that they even bothered to refreshed MBA, which is great.
Even though MBA has lower res & gamut screen, the beefy spec makes up for that. Upgrade to 8gb ram & you're good to go. My MBA 11"2013 still have muscle to run lots of stuff, I'm good. |
