I used to really like the faber castell tk-fine 9717.
Mine was a 0.7mm so refills are a little more troublesome to get.
But on the up side, the lead doesn't break as easily (I tend to press harder) and I rarely get people running around asking me for refills.

Where can I find Rotring mechanical pencil these days? In b4 tesco got.  laugh.gif

Check some of the dept stores or stationery shops. At one point Rotring disappeared for a while, company was bought over and production resumed.

Note: I do have the Rotring 500 for sale wink.gif

The 600 is heavier, some people like the extra weight.

U managed to get one?

i got it for RM12.90 but don't know ori or not  biggrin.gif the body just a plastic not metal.

No idea if even got imitation or clone aso... Can't expect a metal body for rm12.90. Anyway plastic has its own benefits over metal (owned an ipod nano before and man does the aluminum body kink and kong easily). Still prefer metal though coz classier tongue.gif

who remember this kind of pencil, the lead is put into the back to push a new lead to the front

*ayam not even sorry for crappy paint job, ayam proud of it

had one or two cheap colorful ones that comes with the cartooney pencilbox as a set. Lost one or two 'bullets' that made the whole pencil unusable. Nvr used it much anyway coz it had very waxy lead that barely mark the paper. What is this pencil called?

I still think it still is, for its class. Honestly I find the shaking motion noisy and kind of absurd. Prefers the faber castell lead auto advancement technology, though hard to control the amount of lead that comes out. Ahhhh, best is back to basics, push to advance! thumbup.gif

Had one that looks like that a long time ago laugh.gif not sure if its the same as yours coz i nvr bothered to check the model. It kind of appeared in the house pencil and pen holder one day. Used it for a while before it mysteriously disappeared =( Good solid no nonsense pencil =)

Sorry I don't sell the Rotring 600 at the moment.

Well Amazon sells the Rotring 600 for about US$30. You can ask those people who organize US shopping sprees to get it for you. I think after shipping and everything it will be around RM140+.
