No, apparently it doesn't.

But if you buy NAV 2006 in boxed version, it includes NAV 2005 as well (which is for Windows 98/ME users)

You need to check the settings in your AV. Plz don't be lazy. Go explore the AV's settings, you might even know how to tweak it further so that you don't need to be dragged by various events...

Since norton gives u that trouble, uninstall it and look for other alternatives which are better than NAV.

Mod,

Why you didn't merge this thread to the existing NAV2006 and leaving there are 2 threads about NAV2006?

I thought you will either merge it or close it. whistling.gif

Well, I guess we don't need to trash something because it gives us trouble. That is not the right attitude, but then, if it takes TOO much time searching for the problem, well I guess, sometimes things have to go..?

@cofin, is your issue resolved? try to look at "startup scans" option, and uncheck drive A

i think i can use some help icon_question.gif
previously i used the Norton Anti Virus 2006
and i get annoyed with it.dry.gif
And so a friend of mine installed me the kaspersky instead.

We already removed the Norton from the Add/Remove Program in Control Panel with the Symantec Live Update too.

Then i went to my Program Files folder, tried to delete the Norton file.
But there's one file named 'NAVSHEXT.DLL' that can not be removed. huh.gif
It kept on saying the file is protected and could not be removed or something like that lah!

I ignored it at first.

And now whenever i want to open my Microsoft Office's, doesn't matter whether it's Word or Excel or even Powerpoint, the windows tried to configures something and then there's this dialoq box appeared saying
"Norton Anti Virus 2006 does not support the Repair feature. Please uninstall and reinstall"

after i clicked OK for like 3 or 5 times, then only i can start using the Microsoft Office.

it annoyed me until now.grumble.gif

icon_question.gif Help?

How do i remove it completely? mellow.gif
