hello guys,

I am looking for non grease pomade. Prefer water based, and also I don't want shiny, if possible matte finish type.

What will you recommend?

I was told to try the Suavecito Original Hold or JS Sloane, but not sure if they meet the requirement I stated. Can any of you advise? Especially those who have used them before...

Thanks guys..

Well i have tried Suavecito and Layrite Pomade... it does not provide matte look. For matte looks, you have to either go clay or wax...

How about HDF Quicksand?

good... my personal favorite. matte and lasting. need some hairspray to get that hold.

claymation seems to be the harder one between those two...i might actually get them..

i got myself the JS Sloane Medium Hold Brilliantine...very good..not sticky, some shine, but great hold so far..and i only use small portion..

Yeah its harder. A good tip is that blow dry your hair before applying anything coz it will make the styling easier as well as achieve that high rise effect.

i agree bro..blow drying definitely help to keep the hair intact for easier styling..

I just got myself HDF Claymation from The Yard..tested it and it is all I wanted on a clay..awesome..no smell, easy to use and wash, and matte finish..

on a side note, what do you guys do manage hair thinning especially at the back of your head...

LOL... i applied tons of hair growth tonic on the front of my hair. Sleep early, avoid oily hair products, cut down on my ciggies, home scalp treatment and use anti hair fall shampoo. Sounds like lots of work but better do it than sorry in the near future.
*
i am using the hair growth tonic too, what brand are you using? is it effective?

yup, i dont like oily hair products too, which is why i always look for water based and matte finish if possible..
anti hair fall shampoo eh..i am using Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lemon Sage Shampoo..i buy the big bottle from a shop in Plaza 33, can last me a year..and i do use it a lot..
