Is this box able to play 3d iso, mkv and mp4 format? What's the best price for it? Any deepavali discounts?

Quick question..I managed to stream bluray with DTS-HDMA Audio fine..

However, when i try to stream bluray with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Audio, there is no sound. I have to use 5.1 audio to get the audio..where can I set up the TrueHD audio to get it working?

I am using the himedia media center to play. I have tested HDMI settings as Auto and RAW..still the same.

My setup is Q16 > Denon AVR > TV & Speakers (7.1) using HDMI cables

By the way, my AVR does support the TrueHD 7.1 Audio

i hv encountered this.

as most are dtshdma, less ddtruehd files, i hv not seen played too many. but... i hv one that plays fine, another does not - need to select dd5.1.

don't really know why but i can only suspect something amiss in the ripping process. note there are ddtruehd files that are re-encoded as dtshdma - these will play fine.

apparently this happens to some other players too.

I dont think its the way the file was ripped..because when I stream the same file from my PC using tmt player through HDMI to the same avr and 7.1 speakers, I can get the truehd 7.1 sound.. My avr also display it as Dolby truehd

nicety, thanks for remoting in to check on the 7.1 truehd issue the other day.

you mentioned that only the normal truehd 7.1 is supported by Q16.

TrueHD 7.1 Atmos is not supported by Q16.

Question:
1. How does one know whether it is running normal 7.1 true hd or Atmost truehd?

2. Can a feature request be raised to himedia to include truehd atmos in new firmware?

Thanks

Thank you for inquiry bro.

Netflix app has the capability to detect your internet bandwidth and increase the resolution if detected sufficient bandwidth. Netflix does not call it FHD but SHD instead.

Anyhow, less ppl use Netflix now because too expensive, have to pay two times subscription, one for DNS and one for Netflix subscription.

There are few free english apps, Netflix not really necessary.

what are the few english apps? hmm.gif
