Himedia has fixed the problem I reported in May to support TVAPP.ISO.

If you experienced the below error for TVAPP.SO, please install firmware 109 to fix. Both firmware and TVAPP APK file are in my skydrive already. The complete firmware change log will be shared later.

i had tried this tvapp.so a few weeks ago, disappointed it did not work on the android. works on tablets and pc.

i just tried it again with new firmware 109 and

this tvapp.so is a small yet powerful and stable app, hd.

tvapp + kodi/itpv stalker + mobdro + skyhd + popcorn = all u ever need!



nicety: it still doesn't work on q5ii firmware 109. hope it will with next firmware.

Yes, TVAPP is a good streaming app. There are more apps to come included English apps, will upload to Skydrive after the testing.

For the Q5II, let's wait for the next firmware version.

Can the Q16 support external dvd drive via the USB ports? I have quite a number of files backed up in DVD-R and would like to find a player that can read them off the external dvd drive.

This is Youtube problem, Smart TV and Android TV box with HDMI output will not have 1080p option.

Technically yes, but I will not recommended as it is too complex for ordinary users. Below are the requirement :

1). You need USB DVD Drive which must support USB OTG.
2). Extra power supply to the portal DVD player, the USB power might not enough
3). You need media importer app which is not free.

The best way is to rip your DVD to ISO files and store in the portable HDD or NAS. The same for Blueray where Q16 could read directly the BDMV file in the HDD without ripping.

1). Improve Blueray file initial loading.
2). Resolve TVAPP.SO incompatibility issue.
3). Resolve CloudTV default player issue.
4). Rectify WIFI unable to connect to Access Point.
5). Fix 4K black screen problem.
6). Fix AirPlay TrueHD movies no sound.
7). Fix minor DLNA problem.
8). Fix minor User interface bug and errors.

The firmware 109 already uploaded in the Skydrive.

Will the Q16 I ordered come with the latest firmware?

Yes, already latest firmware included the new apps discovered recently.
