Sorry bro, Q16 quad core is Android 4, there is no chance to upgrade the Android version. Have to stay with Kodi 16.1.

First double check your free space. If free space >300MB then restore your Kodi 16.1 as per 5 steps quick restore Kodi 16.1.

Upgrading android version require at least twenty thousand test cycles, himedia will not upgrade the android version for old product. Android 7 only available for new version Q5 Pro or Q10 Pro.
