Dear Customers,
It is confirmed Unify, maxis and time has throttled MangoTV, the maximum speed could get is less than 1Mbps. To watch MangoTV, pls start the China VPN app to bypass the trotlling as mentioned in the getting started email. Alternatively, you could use other preinstall apps to watch Chinese TV series and movies. |

QUOTE(kakisemut @ May 8 2015, 07:50 PM) 14.1 and 14.2 just minor release update. Practically, we don't encourage to update if your current release already stable. Kodi development is very active, you will be very busy if you follow closely every release update. The latest development version already 15 beta.To answer your question, pls find below fixes for 14.2 from 14.1 to understand the differences : http://kodi.tv/kodi-14-2-helix-the-final-translation/ This post has been edited by nicety: May 8 2015, 09:35 PM |

QUOTE(syltel @ May 11 2015, 05:54 PM) Sorry. I think I've figured it out. I have to toggle between the mouse icon to select. But it seems to be only when I'm using showbox and moviebox . No problem with kodi. Is there a problem with the showbox app, though. It pops out to upgrade but when I do try to upgrade, it says an error updating. Sorry for my late response bro. Himedia remote could operate by cursor or mouse pointer. However the mouse pointer only move vertical and horizontal, no diagonal. Some apps are designed to use cursor operator some apps using touch operated such as popcorn time and Showbox. Best apps like Kodi could operate by both cursor and touch. To supplement your remote control, you can plug in any USB PC mouse to assist you to navigate. As mentioned in the getting stared guide, pls do not upgrade when first time use, some time the upgrade will enforce the block mechanism. Get familiar with the apps and backup the APK before you upgrade. This post has been edited by nicety: May 11 2015, 07:02 PM |

QUOTE(syltel @ May 17 2015, 11:37 PM) But how do I stream from my laptop and ipad to tv using the himedia? I have a few shows on my devices that I'd like to watch on my tv. Thanks For ipad, just do the air play mirror from your iPad to your TV as mentioned in the earlier thread. Please PM where you stop if you unable to do the mirroring. For laptop, I presumed your laptop is Windows, first you need to share the movie folder in your windows. From Q16, you goto media center -> LAN and search for the share folder of your Windows folder. Please PM me if you have challenges to get the above done. Thanks for confirming that there' support for Dolby Atmos in the latest firmware. Would like to ask about support for 29.976 video frame rate. Does the Q16 support this? Edit: Would it be possible to control the Q16 with an android phone? To control Q16 from Android, yiu ccould use HiControl. |

QUOTE(steveting99 @ May 18 2015, 03:34 PM) For movies on blu-ray it is related to NTSC video format. My understanding is that all US blu-ray discs are recorded this way. Once the display is set for NTSC, to prevent micro-stuttering the source device must be able to output 23.976 frames per second to the display with a 3:2 pull down applied. Bro, do you know the different between 23.976fps and 1080p24?Wikipedia explains it much better than me here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24p George Hupka explains it even better here: http://www.quora.com/What-is-the-differenc...cond-and-24-fps Thanks for confirming control of the Q16 via the android phone. Another question on the Q16. How does it hand Complex Seamless Branching with Dolby TrueHD audio that's been implemented for certain movies such as Expendables 3? Or John Wick? Can the Q16 handle this without causing audio drop outs when bit streaming Dolby TrueHD Atmos soundtrack? http://www.cnet.com/news/what-is-1080p24/ You can turn on/off 1080p24 in Q16 native player, but I'm not sure this answer your question. Anyhow, I have play many Bluray files in the Q16, I do not see any problem with the blueray picture quality. Himedia passthru Dolby TrueHD to your AV Recreiver, the handling of the complex Seamless Branching and decoding are done by your AV Receiver. QUOTE(GrandElf @ May 22 2015, 05:57 PM) Hi there, Thank you for inquiry. Pls find below my answer :Interested to get this device from you but I'm totally noob in android media player......Hope that you can guide me through... 1) U will pre-install some apps that able to watch drama, movie?? what kind of it?? if it's HK drama, is it in Cantonese language?? How about if I want to stream from website?? also possible?? 2) I can play game with this android media player is it?? How about if I want to watch like Twitch, youtube, youku?? possible?? 3) This is also consider as media player that I can play movies from my external HDD/pendrive, is it?? 4) If let's say in the future I want to watch those pay IPTV, this device can support it?? 5) the air mouse recommended to have or not if really I want to play game using this android box?? Lastly, please pm me the best price for this device + air mouse (if necessary) + shipping to subang area..... Thanks for ya time....... 1). Yes, we preinstall common streaming apps to watch English dramas/movies and Chinese apps to watch HK TVB drama for both Mandarin and Cantonese, China and Korean dramas. You could stream from website as well. 2). I do not recommend to play game with Android box so far unless you have compatible USB wireless joystick. To watch you YouTube and youku, just to be noted that youku has Geo restriction control. 3). The advantage of Himedia box is it support wide range of audio and video codec. You can use it as media play support BDISO, BD3D, BDMV, DTS HDMA, Dolby True HD Atmos and etc. 4). As well as iptv service support Android device you can use it. Pls check my buyer reference guide at the beginning of this thread. Some iptv service is good, some crash randomly. 5). Air mouse is optional, you could replace with PC mouse as well. Play game is not recommend as mentioned earlier. Will pm you the total price. |
