Rooted device will void the warranty by Himedia. To claim warranty you need to un-root by restore back to original firmware.

By the way, if you know how to.use the box rooting is not necessary. Rooting open your Android kernel to the public and,expose to virus and malware. Please ensure you know the impact before do it.

Sorry bro, the Android version will stay at Kitkat to ensure the stability of the box. Android player is not like smart, not necessary to chase behind the version, the important is the streaming apps compatibility.

Please kindly backup the apps before you upgrade, sometime the upgrade addon the regional restriction and made the app does not work after upgrade. It is advisable not to upgrade if the apps are working properly.

Another live TV in XBMC, just goto Video -> Addon -> Get More -> ISRAELIVE.

P/S : SuperRepo already preinstalled in your box, no need to install again. There are more good addons in SuperRepo, please test it and share with us.

Android is multi language operating system, if you set English then the interface will be English same as your Smart Phone.

If you install English apps, the menu and interface wil be English. If install Chinese Apps then the menu and interface are chinese.

Android player is different from traditional media player where the OS is single code page. The advantage of using Android player is because it support Unicode and capable to display multi language characters.

Ethernet do not need any setting if you use DHCP and your internet router is DHCP ready.

If you use static IP address, pls double your subnet mask and ensure no IP conflict.

Bro, please share with me why you want Q16 detect your phone? Which app you use to detect your phone?

If you mean the reserve your phone could not detect your Q16 via HiControl or Hishare or AirPlay, pls share me the screen of your phone. Pls temporary disable your 3G before you test.
