i dont think theres a quota on how many power banks you can bring , all i know is airlines normally have quota on how heavy your stuff are , hope it helps
*
ya that's what i expected because the MAS website only mention about weight. btw thanks for the input nod.gif

My in-laws were told to unload their powerbank from their luggage and bring with them into the cabin. Flight is Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur. Airasia.

Damn, i hope can pass the check in luggage..10 pcs power banks into cabin looks suspicious

hand carry should be okie..for me i throw the box away, then each of them put in a different plastic bag to avoid electronic disturbance..but when pass by their security check point they will ask you to take out all your electronic devices..i bought back 10k mah and a lady in front of me got a very tiny powerbank..the security check the code stated on the pwerbank and inform the girl that this they will check in for her, while mine got no problem..

thanks for the feed back bro. Noted

the last time I recalled (Feb 2014), you are not allowed to bring any battery-contained units (laptop, cellphone, tablets, or even calculators!) into your luggage. if you still wanna bring it inside luggage, take out battery form your device, buy new one in Malaysia instead.

but you can bring max 2 identical units in your hand carry with unlimited type of units.

if they detect battery unit inside your luggage, you won't able to check-in but will be called to get back your luggage. most of the time when that happen you end up lose the flight. this was told by my friend who travel countless time to China.
*
wow..thats scary..since dude1218 said he passed the china custom with 5 pcs, i'm gonna just hand carry 3pcs that i will buy later...and pray nod.gif
