Reading on the monk forums really breaks my heart. Its ppl like them who thinks monks are fine with 1 viable EP build for T6 really needs a slap in the face. This is exactly why there's no changes and monks will remain EP for the next 6 months to a year. Either they've never played D3V build diversity or they like being spoonfed by blizz because blizz says this is healthy and u should just swallow it. Damn this is sad.
Think this the problem with ppl who didn't play d3v and felt monk awesomeness in delivering dps, crowd control and defensive as well. They never felt the feeling of bombing monsters with massive unlimited pillars or bells, the super speed cookie cutter with ep ds like an assassin, the super heavyweight yet superfast tr ep bell with a awesome 2 hander or the super synergy of trigen that buffs primary attack like crazy. I don't blame them and they're stuck with only 1 build. Ep cs. And funny thing is ep monks tend to think they're dealing the damage when the real fact is wd 200m dogs, cru 40m-50m shotgun or dh crazy sentries thats actually doing the damage and killing. Ep is a utility skill and hence monks are a utility class as grimiku stated. Which is sad for those who played d3v monks. A sad day but my hopes of playing monk again in 2.1 has faded. Until changes are made, R.I.P for now

On a serious note... i didn't want to point out coz sure kana ban but just take a look at his CV... he's been doing marketing QA for almost all of his carreer and his heading a game development team? LOLWUT? look at wiz and monk state, its obvious he doesn't know what he's doing
Who the hell want to DS the whole damn map coz the damage is high. Its damn clunky, needs jawbreaket and its practicallt hit one button the whole damn run the circle around while waiting for DS CD to be over. Really stupid. Ppl have been writing on not wanting to play the build yet blizz is ignorant yet again.. sigh...
Another broken gamebreaking build. TR flurry stacks infinitely which 100×260% = 26000%. The latest vid shows stack of 300... no one tried t6 yet but I'm sure someone's going to figure a way around it.
BEHOLD!!!! THE BUFFS ARE COMING. Datamined from diablofans :

too bad that was only do-able due to bug in Smite Legendary gem that proc 100% instead of 15%... its now fixed... i actually like this type of game play... remain me of D3 before RoS...
Yeah really not bad if 100% for monks. 15% won't do crap for monks. We need to get out of the proc only damage and have some real raw burst damage. Everything for monks is proc based. This is really a big issue. Proc + burst+APS will definitely complete monks

This next PTR patch is going to have a BUNCH of Monk changes headed your way. There's a lot to talk about here, so bear with me. This is gonna be a long one.
While we touched on Spirit Regeneration a little bit in the last patch, that was the tip of the iceberg. We're going over all the Monk Spirit Generators and making some significant changes.
Monks are quick strikers, and we wanted to increase the Spirit generation and damage of each Primary skill without just upping the numbers. We're addressing this by increasing the Attack Speed scalar of most Monk generators. This means that each will operate more quickly and scale better with Attack Speed. This is a change you won't see reflected in the tooltip or PTR data mining, but should experience in practice, especially if you already have a substantial amount of Attack Speed. This change addresses both concerns while further embracing that Monk fantasy of being fast and nimble.
We're also addressing some of the remaining Dodge mechanics that Monks have left in their kit. We're leaving a few options for players who really want to embrace the Dodge mechanic and focus on it, but others we're retooling to provide more consistent and reliable benefits. Mantra of Evasion is being replaced with Mantra of Salvation, and the base skill will now provide you and your allies within 60 yards a 20% bonus to All Resistance. We've moved the Dodge bonus to a new rune, Agility, and you'll find some other useful utility among the other new runes.
There are plenty of other changes coming as well, but I don't want to get too patch-notey here. Expect some quality of life and DPS boosts to spenders like Lashing Tail Kick and Wave of Light to make them more competitive and offer you additional options. The new Alabaster Gloves have been removed and replaced with a new Monk Seasonal Legendary Fist Weapon that increases the maximum stack count of Sweeping Winds by 5-7. Overall, there will be new toys to play with, and we're looking forward to seeing your feedback on these changes as we move into our next PTR patch.
Big buff coming soon. Best part dps anf by the gods APS BUFF TO PRIMARY ATTACKS!
So quiet? Anyway, Project 38 in operation! Now upgrading low level key. Taking forever...
Had this really good density grift 33, managed to upgrade to grift 37 by completing it in less than 8 mins (no pylon) At grift 33, I can forgo some defense so I was using MoC.
Partner DH to get that high lvl gr key. If I'm around i can tolong.
