I am flying overseas in next 2-3 weeks for about 3-4 days, so I decide to travel light. Therefore, I will only bring one medium sized hand carry luggage with me to save on the check in luggage fee. However, I plan to buy some things (badminton rackets and some souveniers) before I come back. Two questions:-
1) Will I be able to carry THREE items on board? (Hand Carry Luggage, racket bag and shopping bag) 2) If cannot, can I check them in IMMEDIATELY at the departure counter (as I have not paid the check in luggage fee)?
P.S: I have already called the AirAsia hotline - been on hold for about 15 mins, but no one answer.

QUOTE(billylks @ Apr 21 2014, 10:06 AM) Can't you put the racket into your carry luggage? I measured mine with a racket. It doesn't fit. At all.

QUOTE(niko_bellic @ Apr 21 2014, 10:13 AM) sports equipment must be checked-in if i remembered correctly. QUOTE(acam2812 @ Apr 21 2014, 10:15 AM) sport equipment must check in. the rate when you check in is based on current country you are in. You better buy add on luggage now. QUOTE(noobiedonkey @ Apr 21 2014, 10:16 AM) yes sports equipment must be checked-in. Just buy 20kgs on the trip back. It's like RM44 if I remmbered correctly. Great. Guess I have to pay in for checked in luggage then. But I can't do it at the moment. Only can do it 14 days from departure?

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Apr 21 2014, 03:02 PM) sports equipment like golf clubs and surfing boards need. badminton/tennis rackets no need. i flew airasia and other airlines with badminton racket can just bring on board provided not too many hand carry Well, I plan to get 1-2 rackets. But my friends asking me to get a few more and a bag. So I guess check in is the better option for my luggage.....

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Apr 21 2014, 04:03 PM) depends on how you wanna do it. i checked in my luggage and brought the rackets as handcarry. my racket bag was containing 4 rackets at the time i definitely feel safer that it's up there with me and not being thrown around randomly as luggages are prone to Yeah. That's what exactly I am thinking. Imagine your prized items gets tossed around like a rag doll. Besides, there's also the theft thingy.... you check in, but they don't "check out"....
