Lol I'm not trying to feed scalper. The rm 400 price I got is actually from a toy store. I've actually been searching on forums and visited a few different toy stores. Today alone I've been to MV, Amcorp and also BTS. Also cannot find what I'm looking for. I've also checked on forums etc and so far got one guy who msg'd me directly that he can let it go for rm 350. I don't think he is a scalper, because I see him post quite regularly on the forums but he based his price on what he see in the market. So if I buy from him, am I considered feeding the scalper?
Honestly, who don't want to buy some stuff at "retail" price. Keep in mind I only joined back this hobby in Dec 2013. There are a lot of stuff I missed out on. For example I wanted to get United Drift. I saw it at Famitoy at rm 140 (i didn't buy), anywhere I look the price is higher than that or lower than that but not MOSC or USED or missing stuff.. If I buy that from Famitoy, is that also considered feeding the scalper?
I honestly just want to get more Primes for my collection and I'm not those that have to buy every single deluxe/legends/voyager that is out, so money not spent buying those for me is money used to buy something I really want.
p/s : I curious about something, if someone keep their stuff MOSC, they are not selling it now, if one day they decide to sell it, has anybody seen the situation where the price was same as retail or lower? (Not talking about super common shelf warmers la).. Take TFA blackout for example, that one I lucky found at a comic store at the back of the shelf at rm 109. How often does that happen ?
no offence too bro... shop sometimes will scalp rare stuff too...

IT toy is one of the best example
United drift @ RM140 isn't too bad, although slight higher but rare to see 1 around. It's still a good catch as color is better than hasbro Drift.
Famitoy have quite numbers of vintage Tfs... those are not us to judge as it's super rare and you really like it, then go ahead and buy. I found a very memorable tf over there, G2 stuffs @ RM200++ after negotiate but until today i still didn't purchase it

If it's something you really want then go ahead and you are a happy man. I have being scalped too (most of us had)... that's why i will resort find sources from oversea if local price is hard to swallow.
for your last question... For rare stuff normally i wont offer my price, but will ask buyer to offer. If price offer isn't bad and buyer willing to pay, then the deal is on. These deal are easy to seal especially buyer is prepare to pay

if buyer can't even offer, they might be just survey/ ask price only. if it's something not that rare then i'll just follow market price, coz the price wont make much/ any profit. Shop is different as they need to put a price on it, high or low it's their choice. Some tf generation old stuffs can be found in summit USJ as they are still selling @ retail only. No discount no scalp.
