Nice grab HxiiiK. I wish I could find that Optimus. The no-faceplate on the regular one ruins the whole figure for me.

They're KOing Hexatron while adding diecast to legs/hips, rubber tires and new head. However, MMC had made it clear that they'll stop doing business with retailers who stock up on this KO (usually this means the big names like BBTS, kapow, etc). So far there's no price and release date yet.

I don't know the full CloneDroid story, but I don't want to support a company that steals someone else's mould.

(I know Hexatron itself is a Sixshot ripoff, but at least they made their own mould.)

That doesn't make any sense...Clonedroids gets a pass for making some changes to a design, whilst MMC gets karma for updating an entire figure? It's not like MMC KO'd the G1 toy and just add articulation
Anyhow the price/built quality will most likely be the deciding factor if it sells. Diecast isn't really a selling point since the original is already kinda hefty already

Yup that's true. Like I said earlier, Hexatron itself is already a ripoff.

But it boils down to personal boundaries.

To me, Clonedroid's act of stealing a mould and 'upgrading' it is far worse than MMC using Sixshot's likeness for their own original mould.

You can disagree if you like - in the end we just vote with our wallets!

well it depends, if Clonedroid really improves upon the mold, i'd go for it anyway.. not that i'm a supporter of KOs, but if it really is better, i may get one to put on my desk, mess around with when i'm free

seeing as sixshot transforms into so many things, stronger joints is a definite plus in my book
