it's pretty amazing if u stand back and look at the whole picture

how long did it took for PC to have 4GB RAM since PC was invented? Now smartphones have 3 GB in them! in less than 7 years!
We've been spoiled by the light-speed innovation on a yearly basis. it's only 7 years since the smartphone revolution, things have settled down and most innovations will be incremental.

Best hope for more innovation is project ara or wearable devices
*
hopefully project ara will prevail n we'll enter new phase of mobility era.customize the phone that suits our need are awesome.wonder how the phone company will make profit on this.selling parts like desktop customization?

Xerox PARC was sitting on something that they didn't know what to do with it. It would still be at PARC and you be still typing DOS commands if not for Mr.Jobs rolleyes.gif

When a company is too rich and successful, you would make mistakes like Xerox's.

Kodak, on the other hand, chose not to develop the digital camera business even though they invented the core technologies behind it, for fear it would jeopardize their film business.

those bloody big companies should reduce the freaking phone price.

high end phone here cost 2k+ which is about a person's monthly salary

Its called flagships for a reason. Theres many cheaper smartphones around.

The sensor is about the size of a 20mp rx100. It doesnt "need" to be 41mp. Im sure that number is dictated by marketing so they can have the largest megapixel count in the market.
