I think the team defended well in the 1st half. Contained all atletico attackers.. however, i think lampard is not of any use in the game. I think putting oscar in his place might be a good choice as oscar is also good in defending while adding some attacking threats upfront.

i think mourinho exaggerated cech's injury. he will surely miss the trip to anfield and the 2nd leg against atletico but should we go through, i am sure cech can recover before that. dislocated bone should not be that serious right?

with regards to in-coming game against liverpool, i really hope we can pull something against them. i think the EPL is out of our reach already unless something really terrible happen to the whole liverpool and man city team. so, winning or even pulling a draw in the game will be a good end to the season as to the very least, we end the season with dignity as a real title contenders and not pretenders.

matic and salah will surely play this weekend. together with lampard and willian who is suspended for the 2nd leg. if we are thinking of giving some rest, it should be for azpilicueta since ivanovic already got his rest due to suspension from the semi 1st leg. others that might need some rest would be cahill and since JT is injured, david luiz and kalas can be a new partner but i really hope they will not be raped apart by the 3S combo. hazard should also get some gametime to erase some of rustiness from the 2 weeks lay-off.

awesome game by both team and chelsea totally deserve the win because we make the less mistakes. so now, we can welcome atletico madrid with open hands. and i really hope we can go through to the CL final.

with regards to PL, i think we still got a chance at the title but we need to depend a lot on city and liverpool to lose their game. however, if we got nothing from this season PL, i am more than satisfied because we bow out from the race gracefully. beating both eventual title contender home and away.

in all honesty, i really wish liverpool to go through. reasons being their team is far from perfect and even with the winning bonus, they will need to do a lot to recruit better player for next season. as for city, it will be a disaster for us if they win because they will be much much tougher to beat with the upcoming strengthening.

so, good luck to liverpool and to some extreme fan, please do not commit suicide if the team fail to land the PL. seriously, i am overseeing a massive heartbreak if they fail to win..

they blame us because of our tactics? should blame gerard who slipped and give away the 1st goal. look at yourself 1st before pointing to others. you are far from perfect and you think you deserved to win the game?

haha for me, costa is the most realistic target now. but considering how we play with the trident of AMs behind the striker, i think suarez is the best option. he is also willing to drop deep and play on the wide which i dont think costa can do it perfectly.

totally agree on this. the only team that courtois can be loaned out to is man city but they already got a good GK in hart. man utd although big club but is out for the CL n europa next season which is major downgrade to what courtois had achieved at atletico now. mignolet at liverpool is a revealation and arsenal might pancut and pancit awal (like usual). best possible move is that he stay at atletico or come back to stamford bridge and play on rotation with cech. switch every 2 matches maybe..

if we do want to sell him, i am expecting around 35-45m.. considering the age and the experience and thus the quality he got (21years old GK with CL final).

2013/2014 ended already and here are some of my view and reasons for me to get excited for next season.

signing of the season: definitely matic. people said signing him back is like licking our spit but who cares! the signing nearly perfected the pivot used by the team and i said nearly because he is cup tied and thus out of CL stage.

most improvement: azpilicueta. this guy will be a valuable 1st team player and asset along the years to come. ability to play on both side of the defense is a rarity now and we are bless to have him. coming close to azpi is obviously partnership of JT and Cahill. JT is rolling back the years with the narrow defending tactic (which cover his lack of pace) and Cahill compliment him very well.

overrated: definitely oscar. #10 in the team? seriously? he was nowhere to be seen in the 2nd half of the season. considering the upcoming world cup, let us pray he can cope well with the accumulated fatigue, injury, etc.

surprise package? definitely eto'o. started pretty slow with all the bad history between him and the club unfolding. but contribute well to the team. a team player and i believe he is also a good mentor to our young player off the field. and i wish him to stay.

player that i dont mind (and i wanted them) leaving: torres & mikel. torres is a good striker but for us to compete at the highest level, a top notch and RELIABLE striker is what we need and to me, he already passed his prime. mikel is also the same.. i don't see him evolve into the likes of alonso or others as the only thing he do perfectly is the square pass. with our attacking players heavily marked, it is only natural to depend on deeper player to provide the creativity and mikel provide next to none.

players that i hope they stay here: luiz and ramires. luiz has a great future at the pivot along matic and with his creativity, we can be a lot better next season. i don't particularly like ramires but tactically, he give the manager options with his direct runs and tireless display.

prospect for next season: lukaku, salah, kalas and maybe piazon. lukaku is banging the door for chances and i wonder whether he will got it next season. i really want him here but that is depend on JM. salah got potential and with enough gameplay, he will develop better understanding with the team. kalas and piazon are the 2 youngster from the academy that i hope they will get a better game time next season. especially kalas. damn, that lad is awesome in liverpool match!

areas for improvement: definitely the strikers. with such strong defense and midfield, we could have got a treble this season should we have a top striker. but this is history and i hope we can get a really quality striker in this transfer window.

damn.. lukaku loan to AM looks good. lukaku will get CL experience that he crave plus he is like a direct replacement to costa if costa did come to us.

IMO, no need to buy a CB. need to be really careful with FFP. prioritization is the key here. plus, we won nothing this season to justify the next buying spree.

away kit look like arsenal away kit with the blue collar. hopefully 3rd kit will be better.
