If you are unsure whether GST will affect house price, they are going to have speakers in different states talking about GST to the public.
QUOTE Putrajaya will spend RM2.22 million for public education on the goods and services tax (GST), Deputy Finance Minister Ahmad Maslan said today. Ahmad said trained speakers will hold four programmes in each of the 222 parliamentary constituencies. "All speakers will be with provided documents and presentations that contain graphs and information on the GST, to be used in their multimedia presentations for easy consumption. "All parliamentary constituencies will be allocated RM10,000 by the Finance Ministry, where each programme will cost RM2,500. It will be held in different public halls," Ahmad told reporters after a giving a GST briefing to Temerloh Umno division today, Bernama reported. Ahmad said that all speakers would be chosen by Umno division leaders and they would undergo a three-day training event. The briefings in each constituency will begin in two months. For areas where there are no suitable speakers, Ahmad said Umno divisions have been instructed to choose the best speaker they can find. He said public understanding for GST is under 50 percent. "I am not satisfied with this. Public understanding is low. We hope that with these briefings, more people will understand," he said. The GST Bill was passed by the Dewan Rakyat recently. It is scheduled to be implemented on April 1, 2015. SOS from : http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/260550 |

Some people prefer buy new coz -got discounts -no need spend a lot on repairs [/quote] New house price higher.increase by 20% every year compare to 5% -10% appreciation for old house. With price like that got discount also still burdensome. With new house you will itchy to do some reno + need to spend for at least a basic electrical fitting |
