Look at the deadline is 20th May. No people asking anything in my thread.

Taihao, except with tsangan. Else it wont fit especially yours is 84 layout.

Use a RM1k++ custom, of course use top tier key set as well.

Might have seen wrongly.

Guess I'll hunt aroung gh for gmk dolch then.

I can totally justify rm1k+ custom, but not rm500 keycaps lol. So much difference in terms of weight and material. Id rather put the 500 towards my next custom.

True...inflated price of replica of dolch caps is inflated...unless ur spending on a real dolch keycap from a dolch board.

You will never know how good GMK and BSP is until you owned it.
I back up my words with those who owned and tested it before.

RM500 for one set is still fine if it is GMK full set (numpad, wkl kit, windowed, extension etc)

GMK price is memang that expensive.
Plus don't you know the 150USD+ Dolch is also made by GMK?
I have both version. The so called "real" dolch it is harvested from dolch board and it is in 1800 style only.
The new dolch has better compatibility for all the keyboards. It a replicated of old dolch (but they have slight different color tone), it is also from GMK -> same quality.

If spend the money buy old dolch you will never get brand new condition.

Below is my old dolch, because of 1800 shift I have to use rgb to replace it.

Lol. It's like saying I'd rather not spend money on a RM500 amp for a RM1.5k headset. The amp is important to the sound. The keycaps here is important to the overall feel of the keyboard. If you're buying just for looks then up to you.

Sigh. Have to save money again. BSP dyesubs or GMK Dolches...choices choices. And all I only wanted was for my board to sound like this.

Holy-f. It's that freaking expensive? That being said, is there a clone version of the Dolch keycaps then?
I love the colour scheme, won't mind trading a bit of quality off for a cheaper price.

I like the way you think. Ya sometimes have to know when to spend and on what. Like me when I was spending on rm1k+ branded jeans. End of the day my rm200+ jeans last as long as those expansive ones. Also serves the same function.

On KBD I guess its what you want out of it. For me, I game and don't really type much except on this forum therefor I got a Razer (Hope don't kena tembak for mentioning the "R" word tongue.gif ), if looks is important then why not cheaper alternatives (got lots of guys walking around with fake watches in KL tongue.gif ) but if you want the whole package (brand, feel, quality, etc) ya pay for it. Each for his own, I always say.

On Sentinal92's point I only have to say that when it comes to sound, don't be kedukut cause what you pay is what you hear (may not look great but the sound can give you orgasms).

The only thing I have to say is don't get fakes (not from the brand but labeled as such), get from a company/brand that makes compatible products. Supporting pirates will only stop innovation of newer better products.

You can get a cheap gmk set from taobao which is just about 200RMB. At least can fit 84.
There are a lot of factors in making different sound.
Keyboard material, plate material, mounting type, whether plate mounting at top or bottom case.
Lubes and springs.

Given all above, I think plate material will result in different sound as far as I tried.
Aluminium vs stainless steel.
Aluminium is louder.

True. But subjective. A rock climber with 15 years of climbing experience won't be able to tell the feel difference between a 500 ringgit keycap set from gmk to a caplang keycap with their scaly scabby fingers. biggrin.gif

But are you? If you are then okay lah, but otherwise no reason to cheap out on keycaps. It's a matter of durability too. Cheaper keycaps tend to worn out and shine faster.

Plus the fact he has scabby fingers should be more reason to get tougher keycaps. biggrin.gif

Still GMK is made from abs material.
Born as abs, shine as abs.
cheap abs keycaps and gmk do shine at the almost same rate.
Some people gmk shine in 1 week. Some 1 month or more than that.
