Ya but if you look at my earlier comment my advised was to get the 2013 version which is cherry mx blue. You are telling me about the 2014 blackwidow series which I also did mention about their questionable razer switches.
Unless 2013 version also has issues. I would like to know. I am using one and am very interested. My own research tell me its one of the top 5. That is why I want to know the reason behind his comments. I spend some good money on this keyboard. If it has issues I would like to know.

the 2013 ones are indeed cherry mx blues. sorry if i misunderstood you
the reason why razer, corsair and other main brands popup is because of:
1) advertising was done. more exposure, more people know of their products, more people buy.
2) they're the more well known brands for what they're supposed to do. take razer for example;
Premise 1: they produce peripherals that is the best
Premise 2: they also produce mechanical keyboards
Conclusion: they produce mechanical keyboards that is the best
3) they make various products and not focused on one thing. when someone knows one part of their product they might or might not know their other products too.
4) macros. use it or not laypeople would think having more keys that you might not use is actually cool. *according to my friends*
Brands like filco, ducky, or any other elite keyboard brands that you might not have heard of have their own quality that you would have to try and feel.
like what ntw have mentioned to you. they take things into account seriously since they can be considered as enthusiast grade mkbs. the PCB they use, the controller they use. maybe keycaps that they use even. It's all comparable.
