apparently, those who shout the "Lord, Lord" mean they are aware of Law of God. in other word, they were Christian, but God said that He don't know him. being a Christian doesn't mean u are saved.

inb4 captain obvious.

just crack a little humor here anyway I'm quite a pessimistic person so will thought of this la. Christian journey could be very fulfilling if u allow God to utilize u

They are not Christians.

There are many nominal Christians a.k.a born into a Christian family/nation. But they don't practice the faith.
There are people who studied the Bible academically.
There are occultists that add Jesus into their list of 'gods'.
There are also many people who heard of Jesus but didn't put faith in Him. Last minute mau butter up.

And a few other more, tolong mintak pehkay and UW explain.

anyway anyone can declare themselves as Christian. not going to judge whether they are nominal or not, just wanna mention that u can declare urself as Christian but doesn't mean u are saved la.

even those put faith in Jesus doesn't mean they practice it too.

John 12:42-43 NIV

Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved human praise more than praise from God.

here talking abt Pharisees. they are in top position. some believe in Jesus. believing in Jesus enough? devil believe in Jesus better than us but he still did his own way. these Pharisees believe but they fear. what they fear of? they afraid of expelled from synagogue (they love God's word that's why they also afraid being expelled from synagogue where they can read/listen to the Word) deep down they know Jesus is savior but they cannot follow because they fear of human.

I wouldn't book anything in the hours where I can't get up. Usually, travelling matters my dad settle everything. For chinese new year/christmas. And then got to drag out of bed QQ sleepy. And then when I get into a car the suffering begins.

I am not the kind of Christian who shouts "Lord' always....just a normal Christian struggling with sin...and somehow on and off feel tired to battle with sin....

that's alright. important is u acknowledge it's sin, confess and repent. David done the same yet he repented and move on and never repeat that again. that's also why he is a man after God's own heart.

Actually all the Parables were addressed against the Pharisee, The Hight Priest and the Teachers of the Law.
What's my basis for saying this? Because after Jesus finished All the Parables in Matthew 26 verse 3 (NIV), The beginning word is "Then".

If there is a "Then" it means that it's a preceding to an event. (And notice the following actions they took? They Plotted Jesus downfall.)
What does this means? It means that they were with Jesus all the while when He spoke the Parables and that the Parables was directed against them, that is why when you read the verse 4 where it says - and they schemed to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him, you will understand why.


You may ask me are the Parables only against the Pharisee, High Priests, Teachers of the Law, Sanhedrin and no one else? My answer is no.
Symbolically These group represents "Christians" who trusted Self Righteousness as the way to be justified before God. God hates self Righteousness.
If anyone banks on their own Righteousness (obedience to the Law) Jesus will say "He never knew you".

If you take a step back, look at the bigger picture, Why Jesus shared the Parables and on purpose direct it against that group and THEN you read Luke 18:9-14. You will begin to understand the consistency of God's Salvation, that is by Faith and by his Grace.
