This is why men are struggling nak kahwin. Kos, hantaran, etc etc. Money is the only thing yang halang. Including me also, saving money for future nikah. haish.

The key that you hold is duration before kawin - which is a year ahead. You'll have plenty of time to rearrange for finance.

Contrary to most of the faggots here to down you before you even start, I will try to guide you the best I can.

As the beginning, you can start by deducting your nett income by RM 1,500 and the rest of the amount after the deduction will be divided into your necessities. Bear in mind that you will need to minimize all the non-essential usage to its lowest level (holiday/new phone/PS4/Steam summer sale etc).

Within a year (minus 1 months [RM 1,500] in case of unpreventable emergency), you will have approximately RM 16,500. Using that amount, including the one from your parents willing to provide (grow a ball to ask them), start initiating your final plan to be presented to your family in law.

In case they forcing you to stick to their demand and refuse to meet your budget in the middle way, try asking your fiancee to slow-talk to them as last resort.

If your last-resort fail, you gotta keep an open mind regarding the future possibilities ahead. You might lose your fiancee, but you still have 16.5k on your hand. This is the major point why Islam ask us to find someone on the same level. They tend to be more understanding with each other and more acceptable.
