hi folks, I would like to convert MY driving license to SG driving license. I have passed the BTT exam. From my understanding, I need to get a driving record from JPJ. What I should tell them (eg: license conversion)? Do I need to surrender MY driving license to JPJ? Is it possible to hold 2 licenses at the same time. Thanks

50k is easily breached if you're in engineering firm for oil gas. Freshies paid mid of 3k. 13*3.5k = 45k p.a. Add in bonus &offshore allowance, you get 50k since 1st year.

For 100k within 3 years, that's a bit of a stretch unless you offshore for really long duration.

My observation IN GENERAL, exceptional case not considered.

From 2013 onwards, staying here >1 yr also not guarantee a PR. Once you fail first application, you need to wait for another 6 months before you can re-apply. The processing time for each application is approximately 6 months.
Yes you may start apply after 6 months but confirm fail, IRRESPECTIVE you salary.

Yeah... 2.4k seems low but hard to bargain also. Max should be around 2.8k right? $400 difference.

Now when I look at jobs posted on famous sites, most of them ask for Singaporen/SPR only.

$3k-$4k I suppose. Good luck with your application though, the FCF already kick in today so it's probably harder for companies to justify hiring foreigners for starter jobs.
