June is the graduation period for sg uni. Unless u r much better than them, ur chance are slimmer compare with other period. Local engineers getting above 3 I heard, fresh from uni, construction.

need to consider your annual leave, insurance and medical benefit. if these benefits-in-kind can balance off, then overall package should be ok ba. For Malaysians that cant really get good offer for the 1st job in Singapore, just need to remember this - 2 yrs apply PR --> get better job with relevant exposure and experience = higher bargaining power.

Agree. HP used to be paying 2.8k for fresh engineering grad. Not sire about now but I'm not surprise if it is 3k.

Don't need to wait 2 years. After 6 months you can start trying to apply PR... hopefully no new policy.

1 year - 2011-2012
From 2013 onwards, staying here >1 yr also not guarantee a PR. Once you fail first application, you need to wait for another 6 months before you can re-apply. The processing time for each application is approximately 6 months.
Yes you may start apply after 6 months but confirm fail, IRRESPECTIVE you salary.

Yes. I only apply for my PR once cross 2 year mark.

2.4k is a bit low. I believe u can get at least 2.7k even being a fresh graduate. Few company like Sembcorp, Keppel can offer this kind of salary (non first class). Not to mention Shell, exxon, Chevron etc. In fact most company in JI can match EP salary.

length of stay is one of the considerations. Friends/colleagues/juniors that I know who stayed in singapore (some 1 yr, some 1.5 yr) applied PR early this year and got rejected + asked them to re-apply only after 6 months. I believe their salary is definitely not an issue.

Exceptional case is where you have special talent/ or you are entrepreneur etc.. for those who started with EP and no prior stay in Spore, GENERALLY "confirm" fail if apply <1 year NOW. Well, I also wish that someone from LYN can share the exceptional cases.
