QUOTE(Tainted @ Nov 5 2006, 04:03 PM) Oh I know what you mean.. It's called SpeedBalls. It's not that effective,it just lift your laptop and allow hot air to come out.. You can get it at Notebookshop for RM45. Btw,how much did you paid for that and where did you get that? I saw the speedballs priced at RM99 in a notebook shop in midvalley megamall. Crazy

QUOTE(sotong168 @ Nov 20 2006, 08:15 PM) i'm using this, hdd is much cooler @ 38C on 24hr but not seeing any significant improvement on the processor, i think this happen to other coolers lah Bro, it doesn't have direct contact with the lappy right? I have seen it, there are rubber feet on the cooling pad itself right? But the fan is strong is it? Loud?

Those plastic ones are definitely useless. Doesn't help with heat dissipation.

QUOTE(g-string @ Nov 30 2006, 12:45 PM) i was jsut wondering. i went lookign for a coole pad. the guy told me the fan blows air upwards. meaning it blows air back up to the laptop. but doesn't the internal fan in the laptop blows the air outwards? so got traffic jam?? or am i just jammed in the head? It's true, some cooling pads are like that. All you need to do is reverse the fans. Unscrew the fans in turn it upside down. Cooler pads like CM's Notepal can be changed easily. it may be harder or even impossible to reverse fans in plastic cooling pads.

QUOTE(Find The Way @ Apr 14 2007, 12:00 PM) Poor people leh.... still looking for job now, no $$ for this option, haha.... Anyway, anyone doing or did cooling before for laptop without air vent at the bottom of CPU and hardisk areas? How's the effect? I believe my laptop (Asus A3N) is not the only model having such design... By the way, my laptop is using Pentium-M 1.5 GHz (not sure whether is second or third generation of Centrino). Is ~60 Celcius a normal temperature for this CPU (yeah I know laptop design will take effect as well)? Thanks. 60 degress is ok when it's working. But if idle, that's a lil high.
