I can find and propose. My master is mix mode course work and research. Although my research is not relate to Economy (because i don't have time to explore this area due to time limitation). My master is part-time tho.

So, what kind of advice do you need?

How to apply?

Well, i am not from accounting nor finance or economics background. So, from a non-economics experience perspective, can i really do it? First of all, i don't mind to learn it. I think economics will be used mostly in the organization.

And, i am planning to do it part-time. The minimum is 4 years?

I wish i could do it at overseas, but i have commitments in Malaysia. Unless i apply scholarship and send me to reputable universities at overseas.

Actually just sharing my thoughts.

What background are you exactly from?

You can clarify with the University you wish to enrol whether they accept students from non-economic background for their PhD in Economics.

The minimum period is usually 3 to 4 years for a part time PhD.

Most importantly, have you written a proposal yet?

Computer. I work in computer, i don't want to work in computer anymore. I am transitioning to strategy.

Then if possible i would like to do in 3.

No i haven't wrote my proposal, i haven't graduated yet from my MBA. In October.

If you are talking about strategy, why economics?

You can still carry out research in the IT/IS area and linking it with business strategy.
