By any chance a few of those BSOD occurrences happen when you're using Flash? Youtube etc.
*
What is BSOD? Sometimes when I use Firefox browser will crash too...

I had the card tested on my rig using the 1000W psu(SF Leadex) . And it ran fine in Unigine Heaven. I assume you bought it from feiton coz they're the only supplier here who sells PowerColor product. If possible bring your rig there and let them test it out. Before going download Unigine Heaven and install it in our pc. Later ask them to run it when testing the gpu.
*
U r right. My gpu bought from feiton. Really appreciate for ur advice. Do u suspect my psu can't support my rig build? I just format and reinstall with windows 8.1 pro. Hope it fix the prob else will follow ur advice. Cheers!

*
I play games very frequent black screen and it will auto recover after several seconds...Worse case it will blue screen and restart pc. Not even gaming, I use Firefox browser also facing the same problem. Yesterday I just re-install my pc from windows 7 Ultimate to windows 8.1 Pro. Hope it can fix my problem.

hmm.gif  oh i run to same issues when upgrade my win 8 pro to win 8.1 pro... i fix it with using Display Driver Uninstaller using reccomended setting on Safe mode setting" and after clean install with Catalyst driver 14.4 Whql  No more issues of BSOD/black screen or  Flash crash(during youtube/ porn watching full screen)

my pc spec on my signature and if this not fix maybe your PSU not enough power to Gpu.. when it say 600W minimum  hmm.gif

Before I try a new PSU, can u guide me a proper way to do a clean uninstall and install? I have tried amdcleanuputility.exe but at the end caused my other hardwares not function properly and need to do windows restore. Thanks.

Download Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU), Google it or get it in first post. Run it in Safemode.
*
DDU is a good software! thumbup.gif

Your PSU is good enough. Try turn on HPET if you haven't though i think it's placebo. laugh.gif
Or Google on how to increase/decrease driver Timeout Detection Recovery.

Btw, did you have any browser open in the background when it happened?
*
What is HPET? no idea how to do it. Driver Timeout Detection Recovery last time i tried in windows 7 ultimate but still the same. Will try again in my win 8.1 later.

got Blue Screenviewer  LINK hmm really interested to know... Culprit...  hmm.gif  oh this could be minor thing... is your Window " Jack sparrow edition ?"
*
I found this http://www.powercolor.com/global/products_...3#Specification mayb really as u said the culprit is the PSU. Minimum system power is 750W. Previously alfiejr also said that he is using the card with PSU 1000W no driver issue.

Another article also mentioned this "PowerColor suggests using a 750W or greater power supply for proper single card operation."
http://www.legitreviews.com/powercolor-pcs...d-review_138422

Not sure whether viewnet allow me to change PSU instead of purchase another new 1 blush.gif

gpu frequently crashed. more often during gaming time, surf net with firefox oso experienced before. after gpu bios updated, issue solved. for those who using pcs+ r9 290, if facing the same problem u may email polar_chien@tul.com.tw or raymond.hsu@powercolor.com. but the bios i obtained is from polar chien. since he emailed me stated this is confidential and advised me not share to public, is better u direct get from him. guide how to flash bios oso provided in his reply. hope this can help and good luck! smile.gif

I flashed already thx to khen911. Castlevania Lord of Shadows 2 seems much smoother now. The only problem is the V-Sync not solved.

Playing games enable V-Sync got micro-stuttering @@. Disable it screen-tearing.

good to hear that smile.gif
