Also noted that running fraps did take a hit as what the warning message showed about it crashing etc before running the demo

hey guys,

what software can be used to run stress test on our build, gc peformance, temp status for cpu, gc, mobo etc..

sorry not that familiar..

thanks in advance!

EDIT:- i will try use OCCTP3.1  doh.gif
*
U wanna stress GC or CPU

take note hmm theres ppl who says i tend to do hmm a bit on the extreme side.

prime95 avx2 version 64bit in diagnostic mode full mem custom 1hr per fft for 2-3days (depending ure cpu speed u set but it will take about that time to complete all the fft)
3dmark 11 Advance/Professional.

Set Custom Set everything maxed including ure res except AA ( AA actually reduces the load for this test) . Choose Graphic test 1. Run loop for an hour

when both stable independently run both together at the same time.

I take no responsibility for this and expect you to have sufficient cooling not only on cpu but on Ure fets on mobo and active cooling on rams and VRMS.

Im starting to think my CPU is faulty. Im getting like 60% CPU usage on Hitman Absolution Benchmark with abysmal FPS, just manage to stay above 70 FPS. And Battlefield 4 like constant 90%+ CPU usage on DX11 and only 48p at max. Should I do RMA ah? The CPU is already clocked at 4.3GHz and it is the same CPU usage at stock
*
i know this is serious for u but lol would like a video of u trying to explain to the shop or intel rma..

dude

cpu usage depends on the game. 4770k gaming overclocking wont make that much of difference.
clock to clock on single thread its like 300-500mhz gain difference with a 2600k/3770k.

but in gaming its a different storey.

The higher ure game settings the less influence the cpu will have.

and 4770k has a HUGE i/o bandwidth and with the inbuilt VRM.. its switching frequency is on a ridiculous speed. This is shy scaling on 4770k paired with pcie 3.0 is awesome for sli/crossfire.

so.....

moral of storey.. more higher graphic setting u use in most non-rts games.. less impact cpu will gave..

post ure 4.3ghz 3dmark11 performance/3dmark 13 fire strike (not extreme)/3dmark vantage performance.

all that is more GPU dependent.
nice score btw. u should post some heaven scores in the heaven database

follow this format press extreme then custom and set to 1920x1080p
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3113014/+1404

need 3dmark.

also show me ure cpuz mem tab

something wrong with ure CPU score. Could be three things

1. Something else is loading it at the same time
2. Ure cpu is throttled
3. Something wrong with ure power management setting but i assume ure running at high performance in Windows aka Control Panel/Power

This is what 4.3ghz 4770k should be around the score below for 3dmark 11 Performance, 3dmark 13 firestrike

Disclaimer : Take note might be less cause when i did this its downloading loads and uploading at the same time and hosting a few things. Before i ran i saw minimal load so should be correct.

Well, I was running on 4.2 instead of 4.3, and also I dont think there is anything running on the system except steam. Power Management is already at High Performance. CPU throttle? not enough psu power? or something wrong?

AMD is preparing flagship card to fight 780 Ti  shocking.gif

i suspect bump in clocks or default uber mode
lower voltage better binned GPU ( doesnt the uber mode already kill a default 780ti??)
paired with hynix 7ghz mem.

Nvidia can always come back with a ghz 780ti. on default most cards do 1200mhz easy.

the question is.. which card maker will do a 8ghz mem... nod.gif nod.gif nod.gif

I doubt it. That will be a redesign on the mem controllers.

They are not silly to invest so much on a short life cycle. Just a few bumps they will will win.
Default Uber Mode, 7ghz, lower TDP chip at lower voltage.. Bang. bye bye 780ti.

Wish they had more R&D into drivers.

Same goes for nvidia. Bang some maxwell efficiency.
Up to clock to 1088mhz default with boost ar 1.2ghz.
Software unified mem n full support for dx12.
Reduce the mem controller to 320etc.
Give this exclusive n call it gtx880.
One coolalar oc it to 1500mhz on air.
Christamas idiots will buy it in truck loads
Thanks to dx12 api n software unified mem.
Time it with ddr4 release n make game developers recommend 8gb min etc.. Its already happening.
With unified mem. Faster mem, higher min fps. Intel says ty to nvidia. Both says fu to amd. Lol

Wolfenstein full install is like 50gb. I doubt the gameplay time is 60hrs.. So how much data going to be dumped on mem??

At Jayacom, JB.

I'm sure mine was non-OC Tri-X, GPU-Z default clock as i said, 957/1250. Will post screenshot tonight. So far i'm happy with the card, just the core OC is not that good. OC to 1080 adi need 50mV increase. But memory can OC to 1500. Stable during Furmark burn in test.
*
try tomb raider benchmark with everything maxed out and fxaa.

better still if u can downsample it.

Huh, Furmark no longer a most stressful benchmark adi? Sorry, long time didn't keep up with benchmark tools, my good era of benchmarking is back to 10 years ago (Nvidia MX440, 6600GT, ATI 4850) Previous card HD6870 i never even benchmark at all. Start game, set all to max quality, if feel framerate acceptable then OK adi... tongue.gif
*
cause most drivers throttle the power delivery.

so far gaming on crysis 3, metro etc... tomb raider.. it hits the power limit during the cut scenes and that time like my cards voltage will actually flux.

although i can correct it but just saying testing on default power limit etc...but oced on core. reason is to preserve the VRM's leakage for long term .

Sorry, not really understand.

I OC using MSI afterburner, power limit set to 50%, from what i know as far as the card temp/power never hit the power/temp limit it will not throttle the clock right? I monitor by GPU-Z during Furmark, no throttle happen. Voltage during Furmark is 1.039-1.051V... hmm.gif
*
test it.
then u will.

furmark u cannot run it at full cause drivers wont permit full power delivery. its a fail safe from amd/nvidia to stop ppl from killing their cards.

Just did a quick search, understood adi...

Meaning now 1080/1500 might become lower if using tomb raider benchmark?
*
its more of the vrm stability on delivering the voltage.

like i found out gtx titan's vrm works best at 70C on voltage scaling. above this.. i am actually killing the card on Overvoltage.
