I think IP mart and certainly Lazada do provide COD if the customer wants too. For a Seasonic 850W gold to be priced like that is certainly a bargain.

Can you name some AMD cards that are good value? On top my head, I say the 285.

I can't recommend the 280x. It is priced too close to the Gainward Phantom 970, which is at RM1199.

I told my friend that the best value cards right now, IMHO are:

- 750ti (can use cheaper PSU and still 1080 at lower settings)
- 285 (the no brainer value card from AMD right now, comes with THREE AAA games)
- 970 (price to performance leader)

Lastly, I just can't justify buying AMD at the moment, except the 6350 (RM489). The i5 4460 is just too good a value at RM580. Almost all builds from Idealtech has them. Again, your thoughts.

I just read up few page back that MSI Lightning 290x going crazy at RM1299. Damn! That almost the price i paid for my 9 month old MSI TwinFroz 280x which is at RM1199.

Hope my card can last another year. Currently playing AC IV also need to tweak out some setting. Not to mention next gen title like Unity, COD AW. Now waiting for my DAI and see how it perform. This mid card only can play mid-high setting nowadays.

Unity optimization is shit, i play on absolute minimum @34fps and max out ultra(FXAA) on 28fps.
No problem with COD:AW unless you go nuts with the AA seting.
I can play DA:I on mix of High-Very High with 60fps average.
FarCry4 on High or Ultra if you can accept fluctuation of 35fps-70fps

Yup, eventhough it's on absolute low, the view distance is still like 100km far and you still see 2 millions npcs on the streets.

They can't confirm if this is the mid range or the high end Radeon. If it's the "380X", then they probably have another higher end Radeon 

Please... just 17 FPS extra frame...  HBM is 9x faster then DDR5 and is on 20NM ...  R9 380X/390X  should be 40-50% faster...

historically speaking, AMD never had problem with price fight...in fact, thats are their specialty     

I agree on this. Price wise, AMD always better since ATI era. Can't wait for next R9 3xx series on Feb. Look very promising.
Crap, my 280x only last with me for a year if i upgrade to 3 series. Time to max out. 

He just want temporary subs for the 290 before he move back to his parent house. Selling his GPU and getting a console right now is not a wise move.
