Why would they want to release an overclocked version with so little increment in clock speeds?

You can just manually overclock the non-OC variant via MSI Afterburner/Sapphire Trixx....

I'm planning to buy sapphire R7 265 and what I know from the website, this card came with game redeem code. Any members here bought a eligible graphic card abd redeem their game code?

I'm a medium gamer and this card is within my budget. Can this card do it duty to fulfill my game requirement for 3-4 years or maybe 5? The game I used to.play is Fifa, Pes, racing game such as dirt or need for speed and fighting game. I will use my 50inch 1080p TV to play my game and will use a 22 inch monitor for browsing and Autocad work.

Again, is this card good enough for what I need?  Hope all expert members give their opinion.

How much 265 cost nowadays?

For casual gaming there really no need to have super expensive cards. Last time I was using 6850 crossfire... still can max 1080 (with lower AA) on many games. Oh that you can thanks the console... ... ... hehe. That crossfire performance probably pretty close to R7 265 nowadays. I already sold them however, now got a R9 280x....

Currently using my 280x on seriously gimped core speed - 645Mhz (actual factory OC is 1250Mhz). Blame the broken PSU (struck by lightning...), using backup unit now. To my surprise, I still game on 1080 without much problem LOL... Grid Autosport 1080 4xAA still runs on reasonable 45fps, which is completely fine viewing on TV. Yea, my LCD struck by lightning 2 days ago... fuuuu    Lighter games like Path of Exile surely have zero problem.

hey guys..I jus got the R9270X today..is it possible that I set the graphics to ultra while playing games? will it be lagging or will the graphic card suffers?

But at this price range what's good, or best bang for the buck

There is still possibility that AMD refreshers all the bottom lineup to R9 270X series to tonga based architecture too.
