Hi All, just change my audio recently as cant stand with the default setup. Below is my current: - front: Alpine SPR-60c - back: Alpine SPR-60 - Head Unit: Alpine CDE-145e Speakers are lovely with nice mid bass, even tho the front is too bright for me (maybe need to change the xover to -6). Wanted to ask whether if it's necessary to get an amp for this setup. As I noticed that seems it's lack of power as not all color out properly from the speakers. If it's needed, which amp that is good for my current setup? WIll it be alpine's as well? Thanks a lot for any of your advice in advance!

Hi All,
Thanks for the response. Planning to do sound dampening, dual sport exhaust is too noisy inside the cabin. saw EAworks threads and looks they are doing splendid job.
As I'm an expat here, wouldnt want to spent that much on the ICE setup. Currently is lovely already only lack of power to drive the speaker somehow.
Is buying small amp like KTP-445A will worth the money?

how much is the KTP-445A?
sport/noisy exhaust cause low frequency cabin resonance which cancel out low frequency/ your bass, maybe thats why you think it sounds 'too bright' sound dampening wont solve the problem entirely, some better solutions: 1- install active sound cancellation device at the noise source (some cars now use this as oem) 2- get rid of the noisy exhaust since solution #1 means $$, id pick #2

KTP-445A is around 115 USD, would get it from US or AUS since ASEAN region doesn't seems have it.
both #1 and #2 seems need $$$ as i would need to change whole set of exhaust system and bumper as well (include body paint)...LOL

Hi Howie,
thanks for the nice input, at the end i considered to not to buy it. The other day, i found my friend running on active sub (blaupunkt blue magic) and it's pretty nice. as my budget wont go more than 1.5K including allocating it for the sound dampening.... is it way more worth to get active subs like pioneer TS-WX77A and TS-WX206A and allocate the rest of budget to do sound dampening.
