You guys rely too much on developer for them to develop ROM. Why don't you guys tweak it yourself, like modifying governor, lowering voltage, lowering clock, disabling some Google stuff. That way you learn how the phone works and how to make it better.

I don't shoot personnel on that post. Sure the devs develop ROM but tweaking it to our liking makes it better. Another thing I hate of the common trend on phones/tablets now is toward benchmarking, and bigger is better. I want bigger battery but higher DPI on itsy bitsy tiny screen? Nope, that just sucks all the juice, using it on quad core CPU clocked to over 2GHz is just absurd.

I don't know whether it is Franco latest kernel or my tweaks on it, but I get sweetr battery life from it. Usually at the end of the day the battery always be at 30-20% left but after I been using R45 with my own tweak on ondemand governor battery life is awesome. Its now at 50-60%

Nexus 5 is the worst video capture among other flagships. The best so far I used is HTC One but it has another flaw as well on camera department.
*
Yup if camera is what you after you'd better off on other flagship. Nexus 5 dont build with imaging as a priority

there are no more seller selling... =( btw if we unlock bootloader and rooted we cant update via OTA right?
*
Bootloader unlock and rooted is fine for OTA but if you do any changes to system file you cant do OTA as the update check for system files for any tampering. So for anyone who change kernel or ROM its better to wait for someone to remove that check and/or the devs update their ROM/kernel

why you steer them away. hahahaha no root also can use what. if buy other phones and no root, still same usage what. unless he want something specific to the skin the ok la.

i used to root for flashing. now i root just to get rid the ads using Adaway. not sure what else i use for root. even my Titanium backup files also deleted.

It's because there is no reason to chose this phone if you don't do anything to it's firmware. Battery is small so battery life is miserable if you running stock and camera is not that good as compared to other phone for the same price. Chaning to custom kernel already gave a good boost in terms of everything. If people just want a clean Android they could just freeze or remove stock apps and install Google Now launcher on every other phone.

People overused the word root and some of them don't even know what that means, I don't specifically say it to you mind you. It's just when I read some comments they just put the word root in the context without knowing what it actually does.

Just dirty flash 4.4.3, all working well. Kinda afraid something bad would happen but all is well, things took longer than expected. For anyone who wanted to flash the flashable ZIP files just be patient, and make sure it's fully charged.
