QUOTE(weihan1102 @ Jun 3 2014, 04:10 PM) Hey guys , i have a huge problem , i just hard bricked my phone. and i think i can only RMA....how can i do this in Malaysia?.... How did you hard bricked it? You can't RMA it from LG Malaysia as it is not officially release here. Is it AP set or oversea? If Ap, send back to the shop else ship back to the country you bought from.

QUOTE(sugan007 @ Jun 3 2014, 04:29 PM) How to differentiate between AP and import set? price wise? O.o Price wise back in Dec 2013/ Jan 2014 for N5 32GB AP set = AP dealers bring back N5 from <insert country> then sell to you for around RM1.8k Import = You buy it yourself from <insert country> playstore. I bought mine from Aussie for RM1.4k Not much to differentiate between AP and oversea/import since it's basically the same. Just the different price/currency exchange from the country playstore that the N5 is bought from.

QUOTE(weihan1102 @ Jun 3 2014, 04:44 PM) Official 4.4.3 , I make a TWRP flashable zip of it , and i flash it using multirom. and it is bricked... i am unable to get in to Recovery , i press any button but nothing happen. I connect it to computer , it appear QHSUSB_BULK So i am sure it is hard brick I think I remember there was 1 member here where he got BULK as well and he RMA it. Few thread version, I think. Fastboot also can't access? I would suggest RMA it. Like I stated, depends if your N5 is AP or oversea. This post has been edited by xxdesire: Jun 3 2014, 05:10 PM

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Jun 4 2014, 11:37 AM) i've flash to niksus kitkat v2.0, 4.4.3. still like stock rom, playing around feel is ok, as stock rom also nothing much function added. i try antutu score...i only get 17k++ .... how come so low, how about u guys ? previously when i using mi3, i can easily get 36K++. You on custom kernel? Might be because of throttle and temp control, etc. Scores are nothing. my N5 performs better than mi3. (mi3 higher score)

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Jun 4 2014, 03:32 PM) scary.... my n5 3g mode whole day...barely can gv me 7 hours... yet sot was only 1hour... compare to my redmi note, still got 77% i think i really need to install a more battery friendly custom rom already. Check running background applications. Check if your phone is sleeping when idle. Mine always on 3g during work, sot around 2-3 hours (depends on usage). 9am to 6pm whole day. roughly maybe 20-30%

QUOTE(andyreymex @ Jun 5 2014, 05:49 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Hi,
First of all my phone is bootloader locked, unrooted. Since the 4.4.3 OTA update released, I was looking for information of how to update my phone using the steps given from other sites, like using adb fastboot then update kind of guide. (clearly I can't explain well here because I'm a noob to these stuff)
So I went ahead getting all the files downloaded, the 4.4.3 OTA update file, Android SDK toolkit, some guiding documents. Lastly, I did all the necessary backup which I'm satisfied even though I may lose other files during the process
However, I'm stopped by getting my phone recognized from my lappy, windows vista 32 bit. Normally, I can get my phone connected to my lappy with no issues, like transferring files. This time it got me stuck, when I enabled the "USB debugging mode", while connected to my lappy, it automatically searches for new driver, and it turns out a pop up message said I don't have the proper driver, stated something like "Android Composite ADB Interface".
So I googled again, downloaded the latest Android USB Driver, followed the steps given from other site, tried updating the driver from the device manager, in return the same message about Android Composite ADB Interface.
"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."
How do I get Nexus 5 driver install in order for me to use Android ADB? It seems truly complicated to me. Uninstall all previous drivers and follow this guide ADB and Fastboot Installation

QUOTE(andyreymex @ Jun 5 2014, 04:21 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « tried all the methods, didn't really work 😞 What I got the status was something like this: Whenever I plug in my phone, it always show the first image status, with USB debugging on. Uninstall the driver many times, it keeps coming back to the same status. Used all the drivers, trying to update it but same status like first image.😭 Any help from this point? Heard most of you got the OTA update, but I'm still smashing the update button and still no update 😩 Don't worry about the OTA. You got this problem/error when you connect to your pc only? Have you tried with othersother pc(s)? Have you tried with other usb ports maybe? Perhaps this thread might help you(?)Good luck Edit: Read/go through the replies if you can. QUOTE(jerryhean @ Jun 6 2014, 12:43 AM) That is how I did it... But I noticed using elementalx the phone is not as smooth as on stock kernel... Maybe I didn't do it correctly? Using stock ROM by the way. Are you sure? Maybe you throttle too much? on custom kernel, my phone is more smooth than stock, tbh. Try play around with the settings. You can use those kernel setting apps to change or go to /sys folder and change.

QUOTE(djlah @ Jun 10 2014, 01:40 PM) ya, about the same... for my finding, it's still a gap different on battery life. 4.4.2 rom using ElementalX 0.43 vs. 4.4.3 rom using ElementalX 0.43 = the outcome is not the same both are also SlimKat in version 5.6 & 5.7 considering to going back to PA when free Do you/(or anyone else) mind to post your finding/results/battery usage for slim 5.7 4.4.3 on elemental 0.43? Planning to go back to slimkat and would like to know tqvm.

QUOTE(maxera @ Jun 11 2014, 04:22 PM) Why people use swiftkey ? Kan nexus 5 also have swift feature on their keyboard. Did I miss something interesting in swiftkey ? Um, preferences? I like swiftkey prediction learning curve. It basically learns what I type. Google keyboard is awesome too. This post has been edited by xxdesire: Jun 11 2014, 04:26 PM

QUOTE(limyuyang @ Jun 12 2014, 08:23 AM) Hi guys. Nexus 5 got my attention, and I'm quite interested in N5. Can someone tell me what is the difference between LG N5 and Google N5 ? Is it just diffident manufacturer ? Does software / hardware has difference ? Is the same; LG makes the hardware, Google provides the software. I like Google Nexus 5.
