Hi guys, awesome website here smile.gif

I am from Sydney, Australia and have a question regarding the Kancil.

We do not have many good information about Mira's/Kancil's in Australia so I think Malaysian forum is the best for this smile.gif

My 1992 L200 850cc carby have a idle problem.

When driving, the car want to stall when I come to a set of lights (driving, slow down then car wants to turn off).

So I always drive with the choke up because when trying to adjust idle to be low, the car just wants to stall.

I checked:

Spark Plugs (I install new plugs)
Spark plug wire (I install new wires)
Distributor (Clean inside of it)
Carburetor (I spray carburetor cleaner inside it)
Check compression (compression good)
Adjust timing (what degree's is standard ignition timing ? 10 degrees ?)

I also notice my fuel milage very bad, so I think it is running too rich.

Is there any suggestions for this ?

Thanks a lot smile.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

chances are the carb needs to be stripped and rebuilt, carb cleaner may not solve all the problems, maybe a quick try is to use some injector cleaner in the gas to see if it helps

Thanks rcracer, I'll give that a shot. If it doesn't work, I'll pull the carb off and dismantle it to clean it up. Are there rebuild kits for these in Malaysia that offer international shipping ?

you must be a poorfag to be an australian driving Kancil, further more a 1992 one.

Thanks for the super helpful unwarranted response rclxms.gif

I guess there's always going to be bad seeds with shitty attitudes like yours haha.

before that, do not adjust anything..dont go for complicated method yet..
please check all the vacuum hose is not loose or leaked anywhere..
they are a few vacuum hose..from the rocker, carb, distributor, aircond actuator, FICD, etc.
check them all..even small leak may cause ur engine tuning goes crazy.

actually happen to me..idle goes crazy, i cant tune the engine well...and it loosing power and bad FC.
at 1st after check the engine, everything looks fine..until i found that one of the vacum hose got small leak (hose crack) at the T-joint fitting.
i just cut off the crack ends and fit again the hose to the joints..wallaaa..problem solve

Can i know where is the vacuum hose? Im having problem of high idle rpm. I've tried adjusting timing, carby air fuel ratio behind the engine and still i cannot get to lower down the idle rpm, so i suspect it might be vacuum leak?

usually vacum leak will lower your RPM..not increased.

Have you tried the idle adjust screw? It's at the end of the throttle cable near the carby
