Hey guy, i'm looking a solution on this, which i'm novice on MAC setting. maybe some of you can help me out.
Condition:
Host and client sql connection Host install with sql express 2005 + sql management TCP/IP enable sql browser enable.
Client is a MAC parallel desktop which i try to establish a connection between host/client using Sql Management studio.
Encounter : Mac ip address is same with host. while Parallel desktop have different IP range which create itself automatic.
Currently doing research on this, perhaps can heard some suggestion from experienced people.
Many thanks
SOLVED: Change the mac into Bridge Ethernet At sql configuration management set the tcp/ip All address -> add new port 1433
Set a new rule at the Firewall add port 1433
Then connect with the client address with: 192.168.1.2.1433(example)

Yup, as the connection able to establish then i can apply to the program.
i try using PC name and ip like 192.168.1.1.1433 both also failure
which i check need to set bridge ethernet in order to have same ip range.

I assume your IP range actually means same gateway. Well, the answer is yes.
